1. A stage of sleep similar to that of the first stage, or 'light sleep' but not quite as light.  During this stage, the eyes flutter behind the eylids, predominately during dream states, hence the name Rapid Eye Movement, or REM for short

2. A very good 80s/90s alternative group with hit songs such as What's the Frequency Kennith?, It's The End Of The World as We Know It (And I Feel Fine), Losing My Religion, and many others.  Reccomend getting their new album, featuring their new single, Bad Day

3. (useless here, but I'm on a roll)  A command, usually in DOS/Windows 9x startup files, that tells the operating system not to interperet this command while loading, literally "REMove from command string".  Example: REM C:\Windows\Himem.sys

I usually get to REM by just letting my body fall asleep and eventually REM kicks in since part of you is asleep.
I've heard this is a good opportunity to try and consciously enter a lucid dream and also somehow good to try and OBE, but i'm not sure how. I'd like to find out though.

Anybody knows how to achieve REM?, I have heard some people say that they experienced REM before their OBE, so I want to know if there are some methods to achieve that state, and, any of you have tried to follow an U.F.O. to its planet in the Real Time Zone, it would be interesting.
