Title: Rope Technique
Post by: RelliK on March 03, 2002, 17:47:26

Hey man. Im 14 and i just started reading 'astral dynamics' three days ago but ive been reading it non-stop (about 3-4 hours a day!) ive had the book a while but ive always been really skeptic but for some reason i just all of a sudden started believing it and today was my first projection attempt. I kinda mixed three methods..

i started out with the lift method, where you just float upward. then i started the rocking method (rock back and forth while in midair) and then i dropped those two and started the rope technique. it was pretty hard to concentrate but when i got it..

i started feeling the 'vibrations,' my whole body felt VERY warm and wit was like VERY pulsating (for want of a better word) then i literally felt like i was floating. i had my hands on my bed, but i could no longer feel the bed. my arms and chest felt the warmest, and had the most vibrations. i dont know how close i was to exitting, but then very soon it was dinner time and my mom opened the door

i was in a sorta 'trance' state but it was ruined. :(
theres always tomorro i guess.

my question is: was i close? i was doing it for at least 30 minutes i know that for sure.

also a question for DjMidgetMan: when you had your first obe, what did you do? did you experience the 'astral vision' and could you feel yourself defying the laws of physics?

Id think you were pretty close... but ive only projected once... And when i first projected I used suggestions, I used this method that i read on the internet, which isnt very popular... Its where you tease your body to move, but you dont actually do it... And I dont really know what you mean by 'astral vision', but is it the 360 degrees vision?? Im not sure of that because I was out of my body for only about 7 seconds... I did defy gravity, I was floating above my body and it was so great I was about to cry.... Do you have Aol or AIM, maybe we could talk on it... My sn is: 'AstralAdventurer' ...

yah astral vision is when you see 360 degrees and then some. but your mind cant comprehend it, because of the habit it creates here. but i think over enough practice people over come the habit and are actually capable of seeing it. it'd be like a round eye that's retina stretches around the whole thing, itd just be a weird experience.

the first time i project im almost sure ill wake up like 10 seconds later. ill just loose all relaxation and become excited lol. i wont be able to help it, i just know it. thats prolly what happened to you.

my sn is RelliK2600, email address is rellik2600@hotmail.com , can you send me a link to that 'tease your body to move' method? thx

Hi as most of you have read, im 13 years old an im trying to have another obe... Ive tried the rope technique but It doesnt seem to work for me... I seem to have problems concentrating... I have a question, and it might seem kind of confusing, but im a confused kid. Ok anyway, maybe RB can answer it. Ok, my question is: If Im using the rope technique, after a minute of it, should the rope technique just go on by itself? I know this may sound confusing but maybe if I tell you have my attempts at an oobe, youll know what I mean... Ok... When I do the rope technique, if I start doing it right I get the concentration, I feel myself start to rise, and then I keep doing the technique while part of my mind wanders off... Is part of my mind supposed to wander off, while I am doing the rope technique?? And If so, How long of it will it take to project???
