Maybe you could put up a poll or something- see how many blind people (that are equipped with a pc that works with them in braille) AP.

I wonder what their dreams are like, especially...

The problem with AP is that you get your senses from human experience... There are more than just 5 senses, and they can be much more developed in the astral, but I don't know if it would be possible to develop sight having never experienced it.

Then again, you could learn your own, very advanced way of seeing the things around you in more than just 2 dimensions and a simulated sense of depth.

Kenneth Ring, a foremost, meticulous and highly articulate researcher in NDE has covered the subject in his book Mindsight: Near-Death and Out-of-Body Experiences in the Blind.

Yes there are cases of people who were blind from birth, not only "seeing" extremely clearly whilst OBE, but also reporting visual details when they return which they couldn't possibly have known (such as the colour of a tie).

It's hard to tell whether their "visual" experience is the same as sighted people, and in fact it may be "different", but they do use similar language ie they talk about brightly lit scenes, colours, shapes and so on.  Also, I seem to recall at least one subject talked about being able to see the minutest details of the panorama stretched out before her from her position on the roof of a hospital, even though she had been completely blind from birth.

The Present Moment

This would be a good outreach opportunity for AP'ers. I'm sure there are local groups for the blind that might welcome meditation and AP instruction.

Yes, I also agree that teaching a blind person AP is equivalent to donating eye to that person!  Good AP'tors should carry out such camps if possble, cuz some ppl cant even be operated to see.
