Ya know, that's a darn good question. It used to bother me too.
It doesn't bother me as much anymore, but perhaps through practice I have simply gotten used to it.
I tend to do my meditating and AP attempts laying down. I have learned to kind of tilt my head a little to one side, so I can go longer between swallows.
If anyone has a better way to deal with it I'd sure like to hear it.
yeah i lay on my back too. I'm going try that though, shifting my head to the side.
thanks for the tip !
By lieing down, it helps a little compared to sitting in a chair.
I would do a controlled experiment. One night try drinking 1-2 glasses of water before you do a meditation session. Another night try NOT drinking anything or eating things 2 hours before your session. And lastley, ONLY eat before doing your session. Heh thinking of this makes my mouth water! [:X]
What I use to do is put my toung tip against the back of my front teeth. That had limited sucess. For me it only worked for 6-20 AP attempts. Kiauma brings up a great point about geting used to it. Maby you should just adapt to it. Just like I do my daily push ups, I tolerate the sweet burning feeling because I know it gets me ripped and being ripped means being stronger.
Hope this helps.[:)]
yup it helps to drink something before meditating, mostly when its cold. Its freezing outside and i have to drink allot of fluids. When i dont i have to swallow aloot of saliva when i meditate.
When i drink 2 or 3 cups of soda or juice, i have no problems with my saliva.
Sometimes when meditating i find alot of spit in my mouth. I try to ignore it, but it really bothers me. i try too just swallow it but it comes back. i try to ignore it and such but i don't know. does anyone have any tips, like do you know any ways too slow down your body from producing saliva ? sounds silly but if you have ever had this problem you'll understand
