Hey guys,
I'm slowly getting less scared about trying Astral Projections and I know I'm so close so that's all good :)
The only thing worrying me is that I read posts from a select couple of people on this website who talk about their 3rd eyes opening and having bizarre hallucinations in the real world.
I'd imagine that these people meditate on their third eye chakra specifically which leads to this, although I am slightly worried that when I return to the real world I won't feel the same anymore? Will I become obsessed or delusional? Is this common?
I'm just in the stage where I'm making sure I'm making the right decision, as I don't want to jump into something too fast without knowing more about it.
Thanks,
Calum xo
its no worse than daydreaming, I'm sure you do that all the time
:NoY:
I would not worry about an obe making you crazy. If anything it will let you know for sure that there is more to this world than meets the eye. In that sense it will enlighten you. It can motivate you to try harder and learn more about your self and your new found abilities. I have heard you want to close your third eye at the end of meditation, so you don't leave yourself open. Ask for some help from your spirit guides. Tell them its ok to help you before you try and ap. More than likely your first experiences will be in the room you are in, and you won't see anything else in there with you. I would maybe do some cleansing of your room and yourself with some sage. Hope that helped some
I would say that if you don't have a pre-existing mental health or psychological problems (who AP is not recommended for), you will be just fine. Stay grounded in reality and it won't interfere with your daily life. It should improve your life over time, not make it worse. If for any reason you feel uncomfortable about it, listen to your intuition and stop if necessary. Take your time and enjoy the process. The most proficient AP'ers here are top-notch sane people who function just fine in life.
Well, i wouldn't say I had any major psychological problems, but a while ago I took LSD and ever since I've kind of KNOWN that there was something more and unknown to life - it did turn me a tiny bit mental, although I think that was just because it was such a sudden change :) I also used to have anxiety and mild depression when I was about 10 but that's gone away now. do you think this'll be okay? i'm probably going to try it anyway, and like you said if there's an issue i'll just stop! xo
I remember being terrified when I first started obe-ing on my own. The scariest part to me were the "vibrations" I felt. I felt like I was being electrocuted. I could feel and hear intense "wind" blowing all around me. I thought my heart was going to explode it was beating so rapidly. All of that was scarier than getting up out of my body was. I would stay away from LSD or shrooms, obe is waaay more satisfying.
I think obe's might help mild depression. Stay positive, you have a body, spirit, and a soul, and your going to live forever, and god loves you more than you can possibly imagine.
