hello again !

This is definitely an option. I don't have direct experience of this, but any focussed intent will bring about action.

Wouldn't like to say. Your sisters feelings & emotions will have a huge impact on what she experiences.

There has been a bout of "mischief" since the funeral, things opening and closing 20 times in a row within a matter of a few minutes, little annoying silly things like that, so it does seem she'd be interested in contacting her.

Well, for me, I'm always inclined to try and ingnore things like that ! just my opinion.. it could be just coincidence.

Anyone else have any thoughts ?

BOATS

I have found that instead of fighting the paralysis to close my astral eyes instead.  This will cause me to immediately wake up.  I understand that when we awake in paralysis that our eyes are not really open, we just perceive the RTZ.  This was really hard for me to believe when I first came to this discovery but I think it really is the case because I observe doors that are closed that are no closed when I close my astral eyes and awake.  The so called "seeing with closed eyes" effect that so much has been written about.  By closing your astral eyes you in effect issue an astral command to return to your physical body.  If you believe that there may be spirit entities in your sister's house have you photographed any anomalies.  You should look on the web for a reputable N.Y. based paranormal ghost hunting association and perhaps have an investigation. Good Luck.

If she's in paralysis and wants to break it, she should start doing beep breaths. That will cause her to project and then she can end the projection instantly by thinking about her body to get back to the physical.

This may sound very silly and simple but it works, tell her to wiggle her big toe. [:D]

Hi Nay,  Very nice picture even when you are squashed.  I have all these photos of ORBS and energy in my house that I wanted to post photos of but the files are too big.  I gave up trying to post.  I have a Paranormal investigation group coming to my home on the 19th and will get a link from there site then so I get them here.

Thanks for your replies, guys!  The astral eyes concept might be a little too meta for her at this point, since she's only just started to experience this, but I'll pass on all these ideas and hopefully it'll help.

As for the ghosties, we've never photographed the house she's in now, but it's just as well since she'll be moving this summer.  The three of us siblings have all had our share of experiences with hauntings, and dabble in hunting-- we tend to be a little ghost-prone.  She tends to see them, I tend to feel them, and all three of us hear them.  Unplugged things like to come to life around me now and then, and lot of glass seems to break around me, too, over the years.  As in thick leaded plate glass, jar candles, brandy glasses, etc. for no apparent reason.  I'll post my stories another time if anyone's interested, and if it's allowed here... pretty off-topic, probably.

Tell her to try and relax and overcome the natural feeling that tells her she must struggle to move. (That's hard, but gets easier if you get SP a lot).  Then she should try and gently roll to one side.  Her physical body won't move, but it can trigger lucid dreams and AP, rather than waking her up.  I'm really sorry to hear about her friend's death.

ok.  I've recently reconnected with my younger sister, who, since the very out-of-character and unexpected drug-related suicide (in a foreign country & under veeeeery suspicious circumstances) of her best friend this April (on my sister's birthday), has been experiencing a lot of scary sleep paralysis and nightmares.  My sister is 23 & quite a bit younger than I.  It doesn't help that the house she lives in with my parents has some weird unsettled energy in it, and that she's seen some kooky stuff there from time to time.

Anyway, I went through many years of this myself, until my early teens, when I decided to control my dreams, and even still I will occasionally have one here or there and will force myself to stay awake the rest of the night.  I didn't get the connection back then between these nightmares and the lucid dreaming, but I told her that they are related and to try to be strong through them.

Her question is whether she can call for help when she's stuck in these situations... I've heard this is possible, has anyone tried this?  and she wants to call for her best friend, but is this a good idea?  like me, hers can go on for a looooooong time, and she gets the whole evil presence over her bed feeling, to boot.  she doesn't get the insane vibrating sensation that I did, or the chorus of like 5 million people singing on note on "Ah" (SCARY) but she says she feels absolutely overwhelmed by BAD STUFF.

She also wonders whether her best friend has been trying to contact her through sleep, and that this is why she's having so much more of the sleep paralysis lately.  Is this at all possible??  There has been a bout of "mischief" since the funeral, things opening and closing 20 times in a row within a matter of a few minutes, little annoying silly things like that, so it does seem she'd be interested in contacting her.  Any ideas, anyone??
