Yes, from the general impresions I get of many induced experiences, this seems to happen quite a lot, and also with me as well, its very confusing i admit.
I had another unusual astral trip this morning.
I had awakened and fallen back to sleep about four times (as I tend to do when I sleep as long as I need to), and upon waking once more, I decided to try and project; I just slowed my breathing dramatically and instantly felt the vibrations. After a few moments of trepidation ("I don't want to screw this up by being too hasty!"), I managed to exit my body and stand up.
Then it got weird. I knew I was out, and I knew I was in my room. Additionally, I tried to focus on my surroundings and make sure I was really in my room and not just a similar-looking dreamscape. I took a walk around the apartment, focusing on each scene in front of me until it changed to reflect exactly what I thought the real thing looked like. I even picked up a pen and scribbled something on a piece of paper to prove where I'd been (that should have been a red flag, but I thought nothing of it at the time).
Then I found myself back in my body and realized how distorted everything had been. While outside, I had envisioned my apartment in the evening (rather than morning) with my Christmas lights and some kind of green floor lights on. The light in the other room was on, and my dresser and its contents were not the same. And the pen and paper I had seen don't even exist.
I think I fell asleep without realizing it, shutting down enough of my consciousness to keep me from figuring out what was really going on until after I woke up but giving me the impression that I really was projecting fully aware. Has this happened to anyone else?
