Title: Separation tenses the body
Post by: travelinbob on August 10, 2003, 09:55:39
To paraphrase Al Pacino: "Just when I was out, it pulls me back in."

Not the viagra effect, but I have had the tension of my body become strong enough to boycott my ROPE attempts. I try it once in a while now but same effect. I have had some success OBEing out of Lucid Dreams. Much easier. No physical body to get in the way.

Hello all AP'ers.
I have introduced a friend to Astral Projection (one more today).
He's been practicing but experiences a problem which I would like to have feedback on:
He does relaxation and lets himself fall asleep to a degree (=trance). He starts to do the rope. After a while, he feels the pressure, a suction of the astral body. Feels like the body from the feets up are sucked out toward the rope. This far only good BUT, when this happens, his body tenses extremely, he sweats (and even gets an erection!).
I've told him what I know and that my opinion is that the tension is the only thing that holds him from the astral plane.

I suggested that he spend more time at relaxation.

Have you combatted a similar situation?
