Hey guys,

Last night i had a strange sensation - I was lucid dreaming and decided to try to project so I exited the dream and entered sleep paralysis.
From paralysis i tried to exit using a mixture of techniques such as rope climbing and cycling my legs.

Anyway, all of sudden i felt all of my energy concentrating in my face, my mouth and especially my teeth.
It felt like i was biting on a chainsaw or something. Or maybe something like that device that dentists use to sprays water in your mouth at high pressure but all over my mouth.

Eventually the pressure was just too much and i reconnected with my physical body and woke up.

Does anyone have an idea what could that be?
Has anyone ever felt anything like that?

Thanks!

Xanth

Hiya  :)

It kind of sounds like your physical body was just clenching its teeth and quite possibly pushing your tongue up or down.

Do you know if you grind your teeth at night?
It's a rather common nightly ailment.  My brother used to do it a lot.
Talk to your dentist regarding it upon your next visit.

Dear Asi911,

seldom I feel a similiar sensation that feels like the teeth turning uncomfortably rough and heavy and so would the eyes. I believe it is a symptom of dissociation from the body.

kind regards,

Paul

I forgot to mention that when i woke up my mouth was open - not wide open but my jaw was pretty loss.
I know it has been open for a while because my mouth was dry.

Though I'm not 100% sure I wasn't grinding my teeth, These facts kinda makes this option less possible.

Whether it be grinding or not... I believe it definitely has to do with a tensing of the muscles around your mouth.  :)
