Shadow People?

Im new to OBEs and have only had one LD, but im very interested in haveing and OBE. But my friends say that if you do it at night the whole planet will be crawling with shadow people and I wanted to know wether they exist and if they do wether they can cause harm. Also i would like to know as soon as i start to have an OBE will there be demons or will i have to go to a different realm for that?

More than likely, your first experience with be an etheral projection. I just learned the difference between etheral and astral projection and I think it's really important that people understand the difference.

With etheral projection, everything you experience will be in "real time" and look the same as it would appear to you if you were in your physical body. You will probably stay close to your body, and not move very far away. You are at a lower vibrational frequency in the etheral plane, which is closest to the physical  plane.

With an Astral Projection you are at a much higher plane vibrationally. Things here, will not seem at all like the physical plane. This is where you will see other beings.

More than likely, when you first project you will have an etheral experience, since it is much harder to project in the astral plane, since you must be at a higher vibrational frequency. In order to move to the astral plane from the etheral plane, you raise your vibrations by focusing on releasing energy from your solar plexus. (if you do not know what chakras are, research these energy centers since they will help you project)

Hope that helps! I cannot offer any guidance on dealing with shadow people or demons, since I haven't ever experienced them. Demons exist in the lower vibrational planes, and hopefully I will never go there. I am told that if you just tell them to go away, they will.

My advice is to pray (or meditate) of good things and let go of any fears. Have faith in the protection of guardian angels. If I have a nightmare, i usually shut my eyes and spin around or something.

I believe that we are all possessed with spiritual influences and when you project, you are seeing from these entities prospective. I don't believe consciousness is sustained by an inherent life force of ourselves, but of God. When we project, our consciousness is actually being carried by these influences, but if its done against God's will for you, you usually become unconscious.

I think the reason demons (some in the guise of angels or dead people) attach to us is because we attach so much to our fears of imperfection, weakness, and mortality. Spiritual self-consciousness is scary and can literally dissolve itself away into oblivion, but if we are God-conscious, then we are given strength and hope to move on with our life.

You could say the spirit realm is a world of spiritual influences (angels) which carry data such as thoughts, feelings, memories, knowledge, etc that concern people's lives. Every person or entity we see in a dream is really Angel representing something or someone we know. Angels (and demons) know about our lives, we live with them every day. Demons though like to represent another person without that person's permission (especially after they die). When we project, we are actually entering an angel's consciousness (the spiritual body isn't our own) and they are pretty much representing how you see yourself.
