All,

It's been a long time since I visited the group. I've been having some interesting things happening lately! Whenever I return from an AP the bed will be shaking. I'm not talking about the vibration normally associated with AP, I'm talking full on shaking. At first I thought it was just me (feeling it), or the house, but it's completely random. It can be any house or hotel, any time of day and my wife and kids can also feel it. It will usally continue for about 30 seconds after i return or wake up. It doesn't scare me and lately I've been trying to make it intensify, no luck though, if anything I'm making it go away.

Has anyone else had this experience? Any advice welcome!

Thanks,
Kevin

Hi Lawnmower Man,

Welcome back to the forum!

You know, I have never read anywhere about or experienced a shaking bed on re-entry. I would just consider my self lucky and go with it.

Do you think you would be able to record the shaking on video?

Best Regards

David

Kevin,

are you on any kind of psyc medication?

I ask because this sounds very similar to something my mother in-law experiences whilst sedated.

I had this happen once well before I knew what OBEs and AP was. I was a very active and conservative christian at that point and thought it was demons trying to mess with me or something. This was about 3 years ago and now looking back I am unsure if it was just really strong vibrations but I remember waking up scared to death waking my wife to pray with me.... :) It has never happened since then though.

Thanks for your replies.  That's a great idea to try and catch it on video or some type of measuring equipment!  Might be pretty tough though, it's completely random, sometimes once a month, sometimes three or more times a week but it's worth a shot.  No, I'm not on any meds of anykind not even aspirin.

Thanks,

When I was younger this used to happen to me. I would be lying in bed almost asleep and it felt like my bed was shaking. I could hear the bed springs squeaking and the head board hitting against the wall but then it would suddenly stop. I now believe it was not physically shaking because when I told my mom about it she said she could not hear it and it seemed like it was shaking hard enough that someone else in the house would have heard it. It scared me allot at first because I thought it was something like a ghost or whatever but after a while I didn't care and would just go to sleep anyways.

I'm with dbmathis on this one. You would be doing a great service to record it and share.

I have had the experience of waking up from a falling dream and my bed was shaking, but thats only because I was the one shaking it.

Sounds very interesting. Come to my house, I want to shake!
