Welcome Super_Deluxe!
Sounds like you had an amazing experience!  Aside from the mushroom clouds and fire of course, but this is actually very common in clairvoyant visions.  The way you described everything, (in a very detailed fashion I might add) it appears you had a clairvoyant Remote Viewing session.  This is very common shortly before Astral Projection, or even during it.

If you never felt yourself leave your body, or walk around in the etheric, (closest to physical) you were most likely Remote Viewing.  Remote Viewing is a pretty cool ability in itself.  Even the government (of course) has spent time and money researching this phenomenon.  (The government even had/has close ties with the Monroe Institute)  The reason being, you can see past/present/future events.  Sometimes they can be pretty detailed and clear.. other times, they are very symbolic and it takes a lot of thought and interpretation by the remote viewer to understand what they saw.

Seeing armageddon is actually a very very common vision.  I wish I understood why it was so much more common over "the good" stuff in the world.. although I have a theory.  Remember our world is surrounded, made of, is.. energy.  Including thought!  (Astral proves this!)  So much of the world, whether we like it or not is concentrating on negative more than the positive.  It's the way of humankind.  Just watch the news.. always negative energy.. almost always.  It's actually refreshing to see "good" things posted on the news.. but it's so rare and there are only bits and pieces.  But all this negative energy is a pretty dominant entity which is very easily tapped in to through the astral and remote viewing.  But the trick is trying to understand it, and when, how, or what it means.  Nostradamus had many visions like this, and it was rumored he was able to (at least) enter in to remote viewing sessions by gazing in to a mirror to increase concentration and relaxation.. some even speculate who could possibly astral project.  But it makes perfect sense when you see how his clairvoyant visions are very symbolic and interpreted in that manner.  Just as we do today.

Next time you have these sessions, try "stepping" in to them.  Try to leave your body and enter the astral using this technique.  Imagine falling in to this "photoshop picture".  You may very well induce a full blown exit procedure and see things more clearly, first-hand.

Sounds like a very cool experience indeed!

Good luck!  And let me know when the world ends.  [;)]

The Bard

That totally reminded me of an experience that I had when I was 14. I had skipped school so I could sleep in. My dad worked at Space Research Corporation and my mom taught school 40 miles away so I would take advantage of that and occasionally skip school. I've always been a night owl.

That day I slept for many hours. I heard my stepfather come home for lunch and fell back to sleep. He luckily did not notice I was there. I dreamed I was looking in the Mirror but couldn't see my reflection. I saw my body in my bed and suddenly got caught in a spiraling vortex. A black shadow of a thunderbird loomed over me and I fell into my body with a jolt. It was my first time I remember getting out of my body.

Have you ever had precognitive dreams? I have, for example before 9/11 happened, I dreamed about a black woman fighting in a war. She was pretty and in US army fatigues. She had a machine gun and planes were dropping things from over head. I shared this dream with a letter to the Author Neil Gaiman. The day that 9/11 happened Neil had sent me a post card back and told me I was an interesting writer.

The planes in the dream and the war seemed precognitive. Then sometime this year I read about a black woman who was fighting in Iraq and was captured. She got rescued and was the same woman in my dream.

I hope no one drops a nuclear bomb but I think it can be more symbolic of a change in your life. When someone shocks you it can feel like a bomb was dropped.

Hello SuPeR_DeLuXe, and welcome to these forums.

I have been astral projecting for about 2-2.5 years and have run across and explored this black void many times. What I believe (and keep in mind it is only my belief) it is is an etheric plane which is very close to the phsychic plane. I have not run across a lady by the description you gave, and do not know what or who she might be. Could you describe the "Vibes" you got from her?

As for the paralisis, the negs and other influences work a bit differently than on the actual astral plane. They are more tactical here somehow. I don't know why you were paralized while in this plane, but if you know how to do a "shield" this should not happen.

Here is the technique I am talking about. If you are already AP'ing then you should be able to learn how to put it up in the astral with a bit of practice.

As for the photoshop world, I have to agree with Dragen on this one. Though your mind likes to play a lot of tricks on you and you have to be wary. That vision might not mean anything close to what you originally think it is, though an answer should come with a lot of thought. [;)]

Also, that book you bought should help a lot. [:D] I persanally have to borrow it from a friend and have not finished it.

Hey all,

Thanks for all your insightfull information. Just to let you know where I come from, Ive have had 3 experiences relating to AP that I can remember. But never actualy a self induced AP while meditating. Also, I have had sleep paralysis basicly my whole life.

The sleep paralysis was strongest through out my school years. Middle school it happend quite frequently about once a week, and highschool it happend about the same as middle school. As I'am 25 now it doesn't happen that often anymore, probably a couple months in between them. The episodes were very frightning when I was younger, but now that I'am older and I understand it a little bit better I'am not so scared. The journal entry above was the first actual time I let my fears go, and just went with the flow.

Ill explain my 2 experiences to you as 3rd is in the post up above.

My first happend in high school and didn't know anything about AP at the time. But now that I understand it better I realize what it was. It's not much but anyways. I remember being in purple transparent bubble floating above my house. It was very peaceful with the wind blowing against the trees. I hovered there for a bit, then awoke the next morning. It's not much as you can see, but it stayed in my memory for all these years for some reason.

My second was strange for me at the time. Because I had just had and accident with an LSD overdose a few months prior (pure hell). I won't get it that, as it is a very long story. So anyways I awake in this place an island with a church in the center. The church roof was burnt, but the church was still standing. I walk inside and look around, the pews* and other church related stuff are still there but very weathered. There I meet this girl, about the same age as me at the time. I don't remember the whole conversation we had. Nor do I remember exactly what she looked like, besides the fact that she had brown hair. But I do remeber this. We were sitting on one of the pews and she asks me "Do you have a picture of yourself in your mind before you die" and I said to her "yes I do" and she says "ok then close your eyes". So I close my eyes and I start sinking off into the blackness. The same feeling I got above before being in the photoshop world. As I'am sinking off into the darkness I say to myself "f$#@ this" and I immediatly wake up. I after I awoke I felt very emiotinal and confused. I wonder what would have happend if I just let the darkness over come me.

SpectralDragon.. I didn't get any vibes that I can remember from the lady in the void. I just remember zipping past her, into infinity it felt like.

Well I figured I'd share that with you for whatever reason. Have a merry X-mas. [:D]

Hello 1st time posting here but long time troll.

This is from my journal please tell me what you think of it.

Woke up around 4pm did my daily routine. I then went to Barnes and noble got astral dynamics (book). Decided to go to bed around 11pm with some intesnion of AP'ing.
Not sure what time it was but for a breif moment I realized my body was paralized but my mind awake. As soon as I thought that, I could hear and feel the vibrations for my  first time(very loud). A pulling sensation begin like I was being sucked into a black void with some spontanios colors here and there.
I than begin to wish I had some help from my spirit guide while still in this some what black void, when I thought about that a multi colored face of a middle aged woman appeared (not very clear but I can identifi race sex age), like it was almost made out of multi colored beads, trails of color as she moved. The face traveled right pass me or I traveled right passed the face (not sure wich one).
The next thing I realize is im in this almost photoshop (3d abstract picture made in photoshop) looking world, dark browns, oranges in color, with a blob the shape of a mushroom cloud made from a nucleur explosion (seeing that made me think it was a prophecy and I felt uncomfortable). Im floating in this place but I cannot move, so I force myself to move and I do but only just a tiny bit. Everything in this place looks like a bevel and embose filter was applied to it. I then see some fire, but I didnt like that it made me think of hell. I awoke 3:30am right after seeing the flames (thinking to myself wow that was pretty cool). Remembering this experience was very clear. My vision while in the void part seemed to chaotic. My vision in photoshop world was slightly better than the void. It all seemed to last no longer than minute.

Note - I did not see my body or my room, only except my hands when I was in the photoshop world.

So what do guys & gals think did I AP or did I come close but went lucid. [:)][:P]
