Six fingers

Okay, I've known and believed in the "alternate/new age" world for years but it's only in the last week though that I've gotten truly serious about Astral Projection.

Getting to the numb, weightless, tingly body sensation with mind flittering in that twilight zone seems to come easy enough, it's making the leap to that next stage which is my stumbling block.

Yesterday I started reading some of Frank's ideas that there is no "astral body" per se but rather, OBE is all in the mind and quite possibly it is.

What's real - what's imaginary? For those of you who do project and can (clearly) see your "astral body", if you were to imagine you had 6 fingers on each hand would you then see 6 fingers or only 5?

[added] Or in broader terms - if you imagine or "will" something to appear during AP, will it appear? [/added]

I realise that a lot of strange things can happen during an OBE and seeing  your astral with 6 fingers probably does nothing to prove/disprove Frank's theory but it'll solve my curiosity.

Hi and welcome, Delta Kilo:

From what I read, in most cases if you look at your hands in the astral, they will appear to melt away...just one of those strange phenomena, I suppose... :)

Regarding getting past the vibrations: Check out my post in the Astral FAQ regarding this. Alternately, you may want to try Frank's Phasing Method (also in the FAQ), as people tend to find it a lot easier than using traditional methods.

Thanks Jeni,
After many more hours reading on this and other forums on the weekend I saw mention of the body melting/disolving as well.

As for getting to that final stage of APing, well, it's winter where I am with the battle of wind, rain, tree litter falling on tin roof and the crackle of a fireplace that all too easily intrudes into my headspace. Early days yet though :-)
