Mister Astral

...I finally had my first projection this morning (well, technically yesterday morning), however my sight was very distorted and fuzzy and I had a hard time walking (like the feeling you get after a powerful drug). However, I heard my Mom's voice from the bathroom (where she was when I woke up, *gasp* :-o) so I'm convinced it was quite real, though my memory of the events are fuzzy with my vision at the time.

What can I do to make my projections clearer, more easily mobile, and more memorable?

The first time I projected (from a fully conscious state anyway) it felt really odd as well. At the time I had no idea that I projected until I went to lay back down on my couch and seen my body already laying on the couch. My vision was a little distorted the coloring, there was a kind of hue to everything that wasnt normal... a shade of grey and green (hard to explain). What oddest thing about it was how it felt like I was trying to wade through water when moving. The second time movement wasnt an issue though.

The third time I had a lot of vision problems but movement seemed to be fine. I could see the shape of everything but I could not see any kind of details in the objects. I went up to the television and could see it was on, I could hear everything fine but the picture was all grey/blue/and green. All the lights in my house were on even in my bedroom but while out it seemed like all the lights were out, vision was foggy and very dark.

The only thing I can think of that accounted for the sight was about a half hour before I made my attempt I took some robitussin dm because I had a horrible cold. Perhaps if you even take certain over the counter drugs it seems somehow to act upon the experience during an obe. Maybe its possible that a physical illness or a drug can do this or seem to while out because somehow it messes with the link. After all these experiences we have while out have to be interpretted by the brain while the experience is going on or after the fact. Congrats though on the success.

For the first few times when you are out, make a note to not stay out too long that way you will not have any trouble remembering any details. Each time you are out extend the amount of time you stay out, then just practice staying out longer and longer. My first time out I stayed out probably just around 4 minutes or so, and had no problem remembering any details about it.

Foggy sight is really common right after you project. It's just because your visuals haven't had a chance to develop fully. Dont expect to see your full surroundings right away. Relax, and don't try to force the visuals. What works for me is to just find a small point of focus and concentrate on that for a while. Find a patch of ground or a wall you can concentrate on and try to examine it close-up. Try to use your sense of touch as well. If you do this, you should find that your sight will develop and you will gradually begin to see more clearly. The key is not to try to force things, but let them develop at their own pace.

Cheers.
