Hey Maven..[:D]

My tip would be for you to try ONE technique at a time and do it for a few days, and then if you have no luck with that one, go on to the next one.[^]  Since the triangle technique seemed to work the best, I'd start with that one.

Good-luck!

Heh, you sound like me Maven. Everytime I lay down to try and try to project I end up using like 3 techniques and end up nowhere. Like Nay said, try to use one technique for a while, and if that doesnt work try another. I wish I wrote down the technique I used that I had the most success with, Im back where I started with trying out different techniques one at a time [:P]. The reason I think that focusing gets harder is because you are closer to the 'inbetween' state, in which you could easily slip into a dream. But when that happenes you know youre close though!(At least I think so [:P]).
Hope I helped, good luck!

hey i dont know if u should listen to me because i havent had a projection yet, but i agree with all they are saying, i usually like to either focus on the blackness untill the shapes and patterns start to form, wich i assume means your making a little progress, or i focus on the heart. one thing i want to ask, what is the triangle technique?

The Maven

Thanks, I'll give it another shot tonight and see how it goes. I can't stop now that I got so close [^]

I have a question - How obvious will it be once I'm out? After trying the triangle technique, at one point I felt that my head was out, but I could still feel my physical body and it was dark. I thought that the physical body was no longer felt while projecting, am I right?

The Maven

Last night, I read some permanent astral topics for a while, and then tried to project. First off, I tried feeling myself on a hammock that was swinging left and right, higher and higher. That didn't work very well, so I stopped. I then tried the "body asleep, mind awake" technique with my breathing. I then tried the rope technique to exit, but didn't quite make it. I then tried the triangle technique, and got to the 3D blackness fairly quickly. I even felt my head *sort of* exit (not sure), but I was still aware of the rest of my body. I was also very aware of my breathing, and I had to control it which was very distracting. Maybe I didn't do the "body asleep, mind awake" technique long enough? It gets harder and harder to focus on it as I get further along. Any tips?
