I think that the only way I cana ttempt meditation and what not is layind down on my back. I don't really have any good chairs or anything to do it in. Is this seriously going to hinder my development?

The only problem is that you might fall asleep, as lying down is most of the time too comfortable when compared with sitting in a chair.

Do what feels the best to you.

Hello there,

I don't believe there is anything wrong with any position, as long as it is comfortable for you. That should be what counts.

There is a lot of hype being made about the way you should conduct AP and OBEs. From my own experience all or most of these overemphasized rules seem rather trivial and unimportant once you had a few experiences and start to find your own way to control them.

I believe that most rules that have been set up were originally well meant advice of people who found that certain techniques worked for themselves.

My advice to you is: Do what feels best to you. Try recommended techniques, but don't feel that you are bound by them. AP is a very personal affair in my view, so it should be personalized as you would personalize a room, for example.

Best of luck!

Michael
