So, I hit vibrations.

I ignore them, think of exiting but then my heart beats faster and I need to breath more. Prior I was just relaxing and barely breathing but not out of breath or so. When I think of exiting at that point it feels like I'm not here. But the need to breath ruins it over and over.

I'm possibly going to be going on a vibration thread spree, trying to uncover this enigma. I think I see the reason behind the quiet period of the vibration state. Even so I still don't know how to exit.

(A mess of a post as this is)

Am I actually doing a exit tech and not knowing about it? Be interesting to know for a lot of people.

If you're "needing to breath", then you're still too focused on your physical body.
Your autonomous breathing should have kicked in by then.
You don't ever have to think about breathing, it's just something your body does for you... especially when you're in a state of relaxation.  :)

you'll find that in deep trance you do "sleep breathing", quick inhale with a slightly longer exhale.

sometimes its normal breathing but it's really really shallow and every once and a while i get a sharp and large inhale and happens automatically.  like my body knows it needs more O2 and compensates.

I breathe with my mouth open, but it gets dry and I have to wet it again. My nose is usually too stuffed.

I need to focus on something. Breathing keeps my mind off of random thoughts..

You might have issues projecting then.

You'll need to find a body position where you'll be able to breath normally, with no extra help from yourself.
ANY awareness you bring to your body, even in the case of just breathing, LOCKS your focus there.

Breathe Right strips.  The little sticky strips with the hard plastic that pulls your nasal passages open.  Did wonders for me.  I'm a smoker so my nose is usually fairly stopped up.  The Breathe Right strips really helped me.

I used to be addicted to nasal spray (like Afrin).  I wouldn't recommend using that stuff.  Maybe like once a week or something is ok.  But it's a steroid that shrinks your sinus membranes and if you get hooked on the stuff your nose swells shut when you stop.  It's a miserable few days while your sinuses 'detox' off of it.

There are options like Mentholated rubs, like Vicks Vaporub type stuff that could help.  I found the smell to be distracting.

Hi Eyyoshi.  I know exactly what you mean!!!  The exact same thing happens to me, well it used to happen every time I tried to astral project a few year ago.  That's what made me stop practicing until a few weeks ago when I got interested in it again.  Now it doesn't happen every time but when it does I can kind of ignore it but the focus it takes to keep my body from gulping down air kind of ruins the projection attempt, and if I don't force my body to keep breathing normal then the heavy rapid breathing pulls my body out of the very relaxed state it has to be in for a projection.  I haven't figured out how to get around this one yet, and I haven't had any successful projections.  Most of my almost projections happen randomly when I'm not trying.  If you figure out how to get around this problem let me know :)  Oh and maybe phasing is the way to go if you can't get your body to work right. haha

I bought the nasal strips, hopefully they aren't too distracting. I lie on my back when I practice btw.

I've been getting close recently. It's like I'm not in my body partially, everything feels light etc.

Phasing is noticing, then looking at a scene and then stepping into it. I tried it a week ago, I saw something then took my attention to whatever it was but the inexplicable need to breath ruined everything.

You're getting "Noticing" and "Rundowns" confused.

Noticing: http://unlimitedboundaries.ca/2010/09/06/what-is-phasing-and-noticing/
Rundows: http://unlimitedboundaries.ca/2010/09/06/phasing-method-mental-rundowns/ and http://unlimitedboundaries.ca/2010/09/17/phasing-mental-rundown-in-greater-detail/

Those might clear things up a bit for you. :)

Thanks for the links! I also favorited that site, isn't it yours? I haven't been around in awhile o-o

If I'm anything in life, it's a day dreamer. Considering I've played video games all my life. I suppose I can use my day dreams as run downs?
