well I dont know what it is like in the higer dimension...but that doesn't matter. If we find ourselve on some sort of planet or we find ourself as something that's beyond our imagination doesnt matte, the point is that we will be with manny other minds...
Does this dimension also have rules? Some sort of society? Or isn't a society required like on this dimension.

I believe humanbeings can reach a sort of level where we all find peace, total happiness and pureness, just like we all are born.

Very true. Society is a system of controlling us to make us all similar. It has a useful purpose if seen from a huge perspective (much bigger than earth). It is evolution of how we think, and evolution works best with very small changes. The problem is we are too smart and dont want to be a cog in the machine anymore.

What makes you think the after-life is so small? I don't think higher dimensions should be thought of in the same way we think of the physical plane, especially space and time. Those seem like physical issues.

If so, I have news for you, an "evolved" (or smart) being would realize the fuitlity in conforming to the whims of his society.

Society, for example, used to enjoy lynching certain folks. Society still hates gays.

A large chunk of society thinks it is acceptable to scare people into following their religions by threatening eternal damnation upon them, and that it is good to go to different cultures, tell them they are 100% wrong, and "convert" them.

A large chunk of society says you deserve to be locked up for a very long time for choose to partake in enjoying certain naturally growing plants, but that it's okay to enjoy certain OTHER naturally growing plants (i.e... tobacco use [addictive both physically and mentally] is far better than marijuana use [only psychologically addictive, with huge medicinal benefit, and less needs to be smoked to feel satisifed])

And then there are societies where it's the good thing to do to blow yourself up (now don't read this as stereotyping, i'm just saying there are a lot of terrorists/martyrs out there, and they form a sort of society, if you will, not that all muslims/arabs are like that)

So... no... there is nothing wrong with thinking your beliefs are correct and that they should be followed and that those of your society should be disregarded.

I for example, am not going to go shoving my religion (not that I have one per se) down people's throats. I am not going to discriminate towards gays. I am not going to severely punish anyone that I see smoking the herb, nor turn them in.

I am however, going to abide by the select few rules that MOST societies share in common, such as don't harm each other in any way shape or form.

Really that's all you need to do when it comes down to it, don't harm others. If you're doing something and it doesn't harm someone, chances are it's an okay thing to do, despite what society says.

Basically it's much better to develop your own code of morals rather than stopping at the society level of thinking.

I can't remember the stages of moral reasoning, but the first level is based upon punishment "i shouldn't do this because i could get caught" it moves on up to "i shouldn't do this becuase my country says so" and then "i shouldn't do this becuase I feel that it is wrong, or I should do this regardless of the laws because I feel it is right."

we also have to account for the fact that our moral systems are largely determined and programmed by society to begin with though, the whole no free will argument.... though...

but anyway I'd venture to say most sentient beings probably have societies, and the higher they advance in intelligence the more acceptable the sociteies are, versus our primitive violent and oppressive societies.

Can't help you much, the only thing is that we don't know for sure.  I can say that it isn't a dimension, it is the same reality, just on a different level of existince.  As for a socity, some people that have had OBE and AP'ed can tell you that there are beings that 'live' there, but never before has anyone mentioned a socity.  I would imagine that it would be a little like our socity as the astral is subjective to our world, meaning what we do here affects what happens there.

People should ALWAYS think their beliefs are correct, or else they shouldnt believe them. All my beliefs have an approximate probability (and standard deviation for the error of that probability) attached, so the truth is always within my range of probabilities, because they include everything.

Yeah...but I think to many people do not have that kind of beliefs. Offcourse your right about that you should ALWAYS think your beliefs are correct. But as you say yourself...why disrespect everything else?

The society on which astral plane? So far as I understand, the astral has many planes of existance. Much like we have many different social ideas and practices on this finite earth, imagine how many different social 'orders' there are in an infinite existance! Pick the one you like the most []

I don't like the idea of resigning yourself to one way of thinking (i.e. "All of the astral plane adheres to 'this social practice'...") Don't take anyone elses word for it. I figure if anyone knows all the answers, they aren't going to be meandering around the physical.

Your best bet would be to just try and experience it yourself. Search for your own answers. Not to say hearing other peoples experiences is not interesting. I love astral stories [|)]

I've got some questions.
In this dimension...we live with like 6 billion other minds. (only on earth)
To control everything...we thought something up...a system..called society. U have all different kinds of society, but also one big world society right? We all know that this society suck, have always sucked, and will always suck. There's nothing u can do about it.

How is your higer being related to rules, bourders and boundaries of a certain system? Can you call that system the society of higher beings?
