I think our purpose is to realize we are more than the physical.
I have heard it said that our higher self is our guide, so you may be directing it from your higher or lower self-your thoughts, desires, emotions, fears and your higher self could all be interacting and directing the drama of your life and projections.Interesting that it was futuristic- does that happen much in your projections?   A fequent contributer here(Frank) suggests using curiosity to get answers while projecting-thinking of a question usually gets you an answer.

In the world in general and in this nation
May not even the names disease, famine, war, and suffering be heard.
May virtuous qualities, merit, and prosperity greatly increase
And may continuous good fortune and subline well-being perfectly arise.

Hi All,

It seems that the majority of discussion here is related to reaching higher planes and higher levels of consciousness.  While I personally have nothing against this per se, my feeling is that we're here in physical bodies for the purpose of focusing primarily on physical pursuits (during the very short and valuable time we're here); engaging in things that can't effectively be engaged in without a physical body.

Each person needs to go in the direction s/he feels called to go in.  This will be different for everybody, so I'm not judging the merits (or lack thereof) of any particular direction that anybody chooses, for however different it may be than where I myself am going.

This is all simply to qualify my asking about mundane issues.

A few nights ago I became conscious in the middle of a projection (or ... alternatively ... I only "downloaded" memories of the event beginning somewhere in the middle of my foray).  I never have any explanation for why I end up where I end up on these always-spontaneous projections.  Reality shifting (as RSB calls it) is a major problem with me.  Anyway on this particular night, I was floating and flying somewhere in a system of valleys in the mountain; it was warm weather outside, probably real time given the pending crossover into fall.  A train, the design of which looked one step beyond what we currently see as the standard freight train (more futuristic), was speeding down a track; I was floating right next to it, I seem to have phased into that point just as the engine was making the turn around the bend, ready to go into a tunnel.  I bounced off the side of the engine and went flying away from it, but at the moment of impact I saw the engineer.  He was extremely bored, he had a cigar lit while he was sitting at the controls, and he really didn't like his job.  Very resentful or angry.  I was afraid of scaring him so I didn't want to engage in any more activity that might make him think the train was haunted.  Then I shifted over to my own back yard (again) and was floating around in the treetops.

Any time I'm out of body, I'm always VERY concerned (probably overly so) of who can see me and what effect I'll have on them if they do.  This concern of mine is probably somewhat excessive in comparison to what's realistic.

Since I don't consciously pick the locations I end up in, is it my own subconscious, or some type of guide that's picking them for me?
