something strange happened to me last night.. im not sure this is the right place to post it. i was trying to project using the white light method earlier in the evening and it didnt work. i went to bed a bit later and woke up in the middle of the night but was in that half awake, half asleep state so i decided this is the perfect state to try and project. i tried sitting up in my bed and i think i did but then i looked down and i thought, damn its my real body sitting, and then i remember rolling out of bed onto the floor, but i dont see how this would have happened without me hitting my head it the nightstand plus there were loads of pillows on the floor. but then too i looked on the bed and i thought damn, its my real body because i couldnt see myself on the bed. i did see my room though and it looked realistic, i dont know if my eyes were open or closed, things seemed a bit blurred. and then i remember lying in my bed again and suddenly i felt as if someone was walking on me! i could feel steps on my body and i got scared and i tried to scream. it went away after a while and i went to sleep again. does anyone know what this was, if anything? was someone really walking on me and if yes who and why or was i just dreaming it? i do know that i was awake in the beginning, like between sleep and awake.
i appreciate any insights or comments!
Hello skydust
When you sat up in bed, that was most likely your astral body. It can feel so physically real at times, that you genuinely think you've moved your physical body. You confirm this by your comments about rolling.
Not seeing your body is a fairly common phenomenon – the two times I've been bothered to look for mine, it's not been there.
The room looking a bit blurred is very common – in fact you're lucky you saw anything at all. There are a lot of us who couldn't see anything during our early OBEs.
And finally, the sensation of someone walking on you is also common. I've had all sorts of weird things happen to me, but I've never shown fear, just mild curiosity, a sort of, "hmmm, that's interesting, I wonder what that might be."
Next time I would suggest you ignore it and you'll find it'll simply go away.
Good luck!
Sarah
thanks sarah! im still not sure whether to think it was a real OBE or not. im just gonna wait till i have one i know is real for sure to decide. thanks again.
In my first obe, it felt like my real body moving too, but I knew it wasn't because of the intense vibrations I felt before seperation.
During your first obe it is very hard to see as Selski confirmed.
How long did you stay out of body? My first one was less than a minute.
i didnt feel any vibrations, but i remember struggling to sit up and i felt like i was sitting up at a 45 degree angle in my bed. when i rolled out onto the floor i went straight back in cause when i didnt see my body on the bed i thought it was just me in my real body rolling around thinking im having an obe. which it might have been, i dont know.
I hate that heavy feeling, like your made of lead and cant sit or get up, normally i have to grab something blindly and pull myself out of bed and to the floor (im literally in a crawling stage)
Good start though, not sure what the walking feeling would be.....
