Strange experience.

hello everyone. Last night while trying to astral project (have been practising) I had a very strange experience. CF Traveller had given me some very good advice about getting out of my body as I am having difficulty with this. CF had described a method where on every in breath you imagine yourself filling up like a balloon and filling the room and then deflating again as you out breath. I got myself to the hypnagogic stage and began the balloon process. I was experiencing body paralysis and vibrations throughout me which I'm very used to but was not expecting the huge sensation which came next. On every in breath I felt myself slowly filling up with light which was ok but i became aware that i was getting slightly aroused. How, when I am experiencing physical paralysis? It was sort of in and around me!!? I carried on breathing through this but on every in breath the feeling became stronger and I felt that I was sparkly light and could see a bright light, I was light! Also the sensation was creeping up my body and was getting stronger on every in breath to the point that i thought i was going to explode with it. In a nice way of course!!! And guess what....I got worried and opened my eyes. In true astrowytch scaredy cat style. I felt very strange for a while, like really spacey and glowing and had to eat to ground myself. I could kick myself this morning. I felt like at the point of explosion I would have launched out of my body. Has anybody else felt this sort of inner arousal during the process of astral p. and could it have been kundalini because it did seem to creep up my innerbody/chakras on every in breath. it was amazing!!! thankyou CF Traveler xxxxxxxx

It wasn't Kundalini rising, but it was probably Kundalini awakening and pineal gland activation.  You must be doing energy work also?
Anyway, next time keep your eyes closed and see what happens.

Yeah thanks CF Traveler. What do you mean about energy work? I am currently working with horned god energy, chanting, alter etc. Found horned deer skull in woods toolast week! I experienced kundalini back in my 20's, same light, arousal, etc. and it propelled me into exploring the mysteries, etc. but have been dithering about for years trying practises, having spiritual experiences but doing nothing about it particurly...more like a hobby. I find myself taking all this very seriously now...have peace and quiet at home..oldest child just left etc.. have been working on my chakras if thats what you mean. I use quartz crystal to enhance the energy I raise, one I found in southern ireland in some cliff sediment. Actually I found lots but this one is beautiful and was definatly a gift from spirit. I sort of see it like a shamans horse/drum. I once had a spontaneous ap while using it during healing. That scared me. Last night I placed it on my sacral chakra while I was in med. do you think it helped? was it cause of arousal? I usually place it on my third eye chakra or base chakra. What do you think?

Wow, what an amazing experience astrowytch! And yes, the fear of the unknown. But you are improving. Perhaps this will happen again and then you take another step forward, and the next time you will do it! You have already overcome the fear of all the other phenomena happening around the exit. So don't kick yourself, I am sure it won't take long before you will have your first adventure in the astral zone!

Like yoga, taichi or NEW.  And yes, the chakras would be part of the energy body system.

I don't know enough about crystals, although I use them at times, so I have no opinion or knowledge- however, I'm sure it had some effect.
