Hey Guys...
Whats your opinion?? Which programme do you think is better?? Explorations beyond the Body(Steve G Jones) or Mastering Astral Projection(Robert Bruce)
Never really read either of them, but I would think Robert Bruce
I've done MAP and it worked for me. Even though I've heard of Steve (I think he might have been a member of the AD forums years ago, but I could be wrong) I've only seen a video from him or so.
Try both of them. Whatever works best for you, is best. We are all individuals, after all.
I own Dr. Steve G. Jones program. If you are just beginning, it is a great start. In his first box set he teaches about Energy work, Breathing, Kundalini. He has hypnotic walkthroughs and his Binaural Beats MP3 are second to none. His technique is systematical climbing out of the body, one piece at a time. I found after all his info that I prefer to just to Phase and be there. Everything he teaches you leads towards your final goal. In his 2ND box set the Intensive program, he goes into more things you can do there, like Healing, Astral Sex, moving through the layers and higher planes, etc. Overall I thought is was a fantastic program to help you with your mental intent and commitment.
Thanks guys... Been helpful...
Lionheart... Did you indeed have a succesful OBE within 3 months of his programme??
I had my first OBE after listening to a week of his tapes. I had my first successful Phase session during his 30 minute Binaural Beat MP3. My OBE came through a Lucid Dream, my Phase Session was totally intentional Conscious Awareness. I just didn't like all that climbing out of the body stuff he does. I find that a lot of people here do though. I'd rather just close my eyes and be there. I have never seen a cord in my back, or even my back at all. I am point consciousness when I Phase. The only time I really saw my hands was lately when I was shown that a Light and Sound Machine would bring me to a new level of depth. The machine in my hands in the Astral. Kind of weird because I posted a long time ago, about 4 months ago on a thread here that had a video on the Ganzfeld Effect. That's the only time a Light and Sound Machine was ever mentioned, what they were posting about was some kind of "Dream Machine", that induced a LSD like experience.
Sounds good....
CFtraveller... What about you?? How did you go about Robert Bruce`s MAP...?? Did you go through the entire course and his suggestions given or did you bend the rules a little bit...??
How`re the experiences so far...?
I did it as laid out, there was a difficult part for me (mind taming) so when those exercises came around, I did them for the max time and then moved on, I didn't 'stay on them until they came out perfect'- which was a good thing, because I projected in thirty days.
I was using Steve G. Jones' intensive program and had an OBE after four weeks. Yet, I switched to personal coaching with Graham Nicholls http://www.grahamnicholls.com/ since Steve's heavy emphasis on protecting from "entities in the astral planes that don't have your best interest in mind" was hampering my progression. I have talked to experienced people traveling the realms and never had they unpleasant encounters. Neither did I - speaking from my mediumistic background. Also, I sent an email to Steve communicating my success story, but never got a reply. But, we are all individuals, after all. Follow your guts feeling to strike your rich vein! Good luck!

Hi Madret.
I think 'negative encounters' are something many projectors encounter, and it may have to do with the evolutionary aspects of projecting- your fears become manifest so you can defeat (transmute, transcend) them- I find that once you can move past this, they become positive.
So if you already are a practicing medium, chances are that you don't have preconceived notions (or rather, your notions are positive) so you don't experience them.
Just a thought.
CF.
Hi CF - thanks for the feedback. Interesting and makes sense to me what you're saying - that you are confronted to your own, proper fears.
Steve talks about "negative encounters" because he realizes that that is what is classified as people's worst fears and truly what hinders most that attempt to project. He tries, as other people do, to strive on the white light of protection. But, I believe the white light of protection is solely for our own peace of mind. Yes there are negative encounters occasionally, but if you stay long enough you can understand the reason behind them. Just last night I had one of those, it was definitely in the area known as Focus 22, I have never paid much attention to the Focus Levels of Bob Monroe. But, last night I was in an some kind of hospital and everyone was shaking violently or just a complete zombie. But, after being taken by the scene I found the underlying reason for my visit.
I will jump in and take devil's advocate position and argue neither of them or both of them.
At least not till you have had a full projection.
Understand, being the best, which capitalism does encourage, involves carving out a niche for yourself. Duplicatable mediums, such as books, work because they are comprised of conclusions amongst contextual bias. Any for-profit source will thus provide mental models that will contain bias. They need it so you feel like you got something for your $. All will attempt to manage your expectations. All will claim to be right.
My conclusion () is that you should not make any conclusions until you have a hefty base of personal experience to relate these things too. The worst case scenario is a creation of a false mental model in which you have to pick it apart piece by piece. Throwing another wrench in the bucket, straightforward language does not work. We are talking about the subjective. You can only use metaphors, sounds and similes to talk about this stuff. I mean jeez, How many different types of black are their in a single projection attempt? Use all the information out there or none of it. Watch both of them, or none of them. Then again, I am just playing an idealistic devil's advocate. :-P
All the information that you could ever want is hidden amongst the Search Bar in the top right of this very window. This very window. And it's free. And it hasn't been filtered. And its argued, and it hundreds of peoples' POV's. And it dates back nearly a decade. Find the correlations. Find what people agree on and you will find the unbiased truth. That is, if that's what you want.
Good Luck,
Contenteo
The best thing about any "pay program" is, you are showing yourself your level of commitment in achieving your goals. Sure the info is great, but I find you can get a lot of that info for free just by constantly doing research. When I was new here I bought Steve's 200$ program and was very happy with it. I put a lot of thought into the decision beforehand and ended up telling myself that this shows how serious I am. How many times have you ever started down a path, just to change that path the following week because you either became bored with it or you didn't see any progress in it? I know we all have done that at one time or another, well to me I feel an expense towards something is mentally telling myself I will be successful and will do what it takes to achieve my goal. Kind of like a different "brain entrainment".
I watched Robert Bruces youtube videos and projected within a week or two. Didn't pay for anything. I sure do read alot on here though. :D

I think the cost of the S Jones program is a little high for my tastes.
$199 for download only - no hard CD shipment. But I just read through the ad and there is a LOT of material there. However, much of it looks like boring fluff that I would not want to waste time with. On the other hand there is a lot to be said for just churning the imagination with mere discussion of the topic. That alone can motivate and maintain higher interest which is very helpful.
The Robert Bruce CD set is much cheaper and it is available used on Amazon for even less - around $35. I used this set nearly every day for months and I did start getting regular OBEs.
For those with no money to spare for this OBE effort I highly suggest the obe4u.com FREE eBook by Michael Raduga.
Just read the book. Watch the videos. Do the techniques as described.
Start projecting. It works great for me.
simple.
Thanks man! I will check it out :-)
