Hi All,
I have been attempting to produce an oobe and so far I have been unsuccessful. That is ok because I know (as with all in life) one doesn't becaome a restaurant manager without first learning how to wash the dishes, wait on tables and cook. I do remember having a vivid LD as I was flying (but I knew I was and enjoyed it). I say LD because I have no memory of leaving the physical or coming back.
Basically for the last 2 months I have been really active on oobe's and learning what I can about them. I have read a lot of Monroe's technics and C.D.T. (Louis Ruiz) and they have helped a lot. Just a week ago I was in my bed and all of a sudden my entire body was electrified/tingling (like when your foot falls asleep and begins to wake up). I was numb and loving it!!! Even though it surprised me, I knew what was happening and kept telling my self to enjoy it and feel what it felt like. After everything was over, I had a big grin on my face and went to sleep. I know I was close but just didn't make it.
Now, I know that I am suppose to just keep doing what I am doing (and practicing) and it will happen (I feel it), but is there any ways (or practice) that I can do to help me in this learning phase? I am getting very excited for my first oobe (and I know I have it in me)!
Thanks!
You can practice by learning everything about OBEs and energy. Most people think they can just spend a few weeks practicing and astral project whenever they want but I can assure it doesn't work like that. I can personally tell you that this is a very difficult field of study. I have a degree in computer engineering and a background in mathematics and that almost seems easier than most of the concepts I have been learning with regards to astral projection.
Understand (and agree). I know it won't happen over night and will stay my current course. I feel it in me and I know one day I will be writing here telling about it...as it should be. Energy isn't something I have looked into.
Any suggested sites on Energy and OOBE?
Yea, this one.

I respectfully have to disagree in some aspects with you. I truly beleive it depends on the individual, the more complex one tries to make it the more complex it will be and the more simpler the more simpler it will be. In my experience I just read about Monroe, Robert Moen, Frank Keppler and anything I could find just for my knowledge, I never really actively pursued an OBE because i was afraid but the more I read the more my mind was being programed with it I guess. So far I've had two conscious OBE's, one lucid dream, one OBE from a lucid dream and again I never really used a technique, well maybe the roll over but other than that I just let it happen, at this point all I have to do is lay down, relax, notice the blackness like Keppler said and it just happens or sometimes it doesn't but I know I've reached a point where fear is not as big an obstacle as it was before and that is a major step for me.
Well it all depends on what your goals are. If you want to have a conscious OBE then I guess you might be able to get by by reading Monroe's and Bruce's brooks. But if you want to understand how and why astral projection occurs within the limits of our consciousness in regard to space and time, you will find that it isn't so easy to understand.

You're absolutely right, it is very complex to understand and it does require time and stepping outside our everyday reality.
Monroe's first book focuses mostly on OBE, but starting from his second book is when he starts to explore beyond AP and more on phasing and consciousness, and even Bruce Moen (sorry I wrote Robert) talks about different levels of consciousness.
Again I was never pursuing an OBE but I guess after reading and reading and thinking about it a lot it just happened.
Thanks to both for your comments/suggestions!!
