Conscious not leaving with my astral body?

I have always had problems projecting, and at time felt I was very close, but then nothing happened. I had considered the possibilty that my conscious was not leaving with my astral body. The other night something happened that made me wonder about this possibility. I was just lying down to sleep and I immediatly felt out of my body, and that i was falling back. I fell back into my body and was physical again. If the problem is that I my conscious does not leave with my astral body, how is it possible to force it to go?

Regarding what happened: Sounds like you either had a quick, fast projection or you felt common trance symptoms.

The closer you are to your body, the easier it is to get "sucked back in."

try feeling like a half-blown up balloon, but as you get higher out of ur body more air goes into it, creating momentum, so it counters the 'sucking' spoken of above
