Were you afraid?

Dear Nerezza,  my first OBE the I was aware of came when I was seven years old.  I had no fear as it was exciting stuff, even when I remembered that I had lived thousands of times before.  So fear never entered my mind, until I was a teenager and attempted to astral travel while conscious.  Looking back at those times I know that my fear was what caused the attempts to fail.  The only ones that were successful happened before my fear got up to speed!

Years later I returned to spiritual practice and attempted to OBE again.  I still had my old fears with me.  I learned that it was simply the fear of the unknown, meaning the concept of it as we are taught to think as children.  What helped me through this phase was that my curiosity at what I experienced while out there, grew stronger than my fears.  After working with my own Guidance, I learned so much more and experienced as much,  which brought me to a point where I understood that nothing can harm us if we stand in our power and respond with Love.  And, this fact was driven home over many journeys by beings who tested me constantly for Fear.  I always responded with Love and they would dissipate or leave.

So it turns out that fear is something we are brainwashed into having by our cultures and societies.  It is part of the big control mechanism that we are kept down by.  Once your Self is Self-empowered, nothing can stop you from making choices about what you do.  So fear is only a fear, it is not real, only imagined.

Thanx for the opportunity to share.  Love always.

Nerezza,

Please don't take it personally, but I suggest you change you're avatar, that funny grinning face, or no one will take you seriously.

I learned about it the exact same time I came here last October (I was 16).  I still haven't done it yet ( [:P] ) But I know I will someday.  It initally scared me because of all the hollywood hogwash that filters into my brain daily :x  I was afraid of the whole possession deal.  I didn't want that.

PS - If you want to be taken seriously, you should consider using proper grammar.  Here's the most common mistakes I've run across

You're - Your.

You're = NOT POSSESSIVE! It breaks into You Are.  So in your line, you said, "I suggest you change you are avatar."  That doesn't make any sense.

There - Their - They're

They're = NOT POSSESSIVE!! - This one breaks into They Are.  Pleeease don't use it as possessive.  It's my pet peeve.  The easiest way not to is to break it down when you want to use it.

Their = POSSESSIVE!!! - This is the possessive version.  Use it (and spell it) correctly.

There - LOCATION!! - Over there!  Not here, THERE!  Location.

There's (THERE IS!) also the ITS / It's.  Its is possessive, it's is it is.  And many people are beginning to spell sense with a c.  No C.  Thanks for your time.

Can you beleive the PS was bigger than the post itself?  Freaky

I found out about projection maybe around august-september, and never really feared it.... I only really fear one thing. Fear is something Ive learned to eliminate.

Makaveli

I learned about projection about 4 months ago and I'm just about 19 now.  I'm not scared at all when thinking about them.  My problem with fear is right when the separation comes on I panick for no reason everytime and so far I've screwed up 40+ projections doing that.  The only thing about it that makes me scared is that damn paralysis right when it happens I still can't get over it though.

Let me weigh this:

The Cheshire Cat or respect.....

Hmmm, the cat wins.

I first learned of OBE's when I was about eleven years old, and at the time I feared them greatly. I equated OBE's with temporary death and I did not want to delve into something which may of ended my life prematurely.

These days I could care less if I die from an OBE or anything else(not as morbid as it sounds, I just have a different view of life then most, and no I am not reckless in my daily life).

My question(s) to you:

How old were you when you first learned of OBE's?

Did you fear them?

If so, what lifted your fears?

If not, why?
