Hello,

Have occasionally lurked these boards for the past year.  Haven't posted because the tone has generally been in agreement with my own AP experiences, so haven't had much to add to the topic.

Until now...

Am reading "Astral Projection and the Nature of Reality" and on pages 79-81 is an account of "Devon", taken from a book I haven't read called "The Divine Blueprint", who died during an AP.  The explanation given was that because she AP'ed so often, her "cord" wore out, so to speak.  Goes on to state that someone checked her on the other side where she was distraught at not being able to re-enter her physical body.  Magnus cautions against AP'ing more than once a week for this reason.

Now, like most of you, I've read the contemporary authors, Monroe, Moen, etc.  Also, like most of you, I'm of the "nothing to fear, but fear itself" mentality when it comes to AP'ing.  In fact, I've eaten a meat-laden meal then proceeded to AP soon after during a thunderstorm while making a point of floating through power lines--just to prove it can be done without harm.  Until now, I haven't heard of this potential hazard.

Only very occasionally have I AP'ed more than once a week. I generally only AP a couple times a month.  (Hard to make the time to AP more frequently.)

Don't know any more about this specific case, so won't dispute whether or not it happened.  Just seems that there are others who've written about more frequent AP'ing without the dire consequences.

Thoughts on this?  Does anyone here regularly AP more than once a week?

Thanks and...

Nice ta meetcha!

We all supposedly project every night even though we may not be aware of it. If  "the silver cord" wore due to over use would not all of us eventually die in our sleep?

   Why didn't I think of that?

Great point!

On the flip side of this ( and this is merely speculation and food for thought ) perhaps the aging process is directly linked to the "silver cord " wearing over time. If there was a way to stop projecting "automatically" would the aging process stop? Just a thought.

Could be.  Beliefs could also contribute to physical aging on some level.

I always like to say affirmations for health or whatever else is on my mind while AP'ing.  Figure it couldn't hurt and if thoughts are reality in the non-physical, maybe those focused, positive thoughts will help in the physical.

Regarding the silver cord.  The book does mention that "Devon's" connection to the physical grew weaker.  Her intent to spend more and more time in the non-physical finally tipped the balance and she ended up in the non-physical permanently.  It states her body had a seizure and she had to finally accept that her body had died.  Maybe frequency of AP'ing isn't important as long as one maintains clear intent to continue with this lifetime.

I like your attitude.  Oh yes.

PS  Not added anything of substance to your post - hope you realise why and that you don't mind.
We all find nonsenses to believe in; it's part of being alive.

Me like your attitude too.

As with anything in life, balance is important. If you spend a LOT of time APing, neglecting other things, there are bound to be consequences. And it has nothing to do with silver cords I dont think.
We are here in the physical for a reason, after all.

Even APing or phasing once or more times a day wont wear anything out, as long as you maintain some sort of balance.

Nice to meet you too!
