Title: Tapping into subconscious to astral project?
Post by: Bellend_1010 on December 08, 2010, 10:40:49
What is the best way to tap into your subconscious to astral project? I feel the reason lots do not project is because of their deep down natural fear and reluctance to really do it, so if you could drum into your subconscious mind to project then I guess it would be considered easier to do and your psyche in your mind would "allow it". I guess its like when you try and do it with hypnosis to try and stop smoking addiction, if you drum it into your subconscious long and hard enough, it will eventually happen that you'll quit smoking and override the addiction.

Any you guys got any idea's here? what's the best way you think it could work? (preferbly outside hypnosis)

Ok, anything you experience will be recorded by the subconscious.  That's why affirmations are used in most manifestation modalities.  However, if you are trying to 'tap' into the subconscious, it seems to me that that's what projection is- projecting yourself into the subconscious, to experience the superconscious.
So entering a trance and doing the affirmation sounds like a two-pronged way of achieving a conscious projection.

I've tried this area of the mind many times with very little success.

Energy work is the only way to pop out as I see it raising vibrations not shutting down the mind. I used to always believe in the latter - how wrong i was.

Yep, you don't need to do anything fancy, just drum it in to your subconscious. Quite simply, just "tell" it.

:?  What was confusing?  My style of writing when I've only had 6 hours of sleep and one cup of coffee?
When you project you place your conscious awareness in a place/state that objectifies subconscious information.  Yes?
So you can experience whatever your subconscious has recorded, including nonphysical information. as in experiencing the superconscious, as much as your subconscious allows.
Is that better?

I'm with CF - you can experience your subconscious in an objective way. Face fears & experience fantasies, and deal with deep issues like the pain you caused your father when you were a teen... (TMI?) I've learned that I have a lot of subconscious issues, and I'm pretty much forced to face them quite often. My experiences aren't all fun all the time, and I'm OK with that because I've learned more about my true self than I knew was possible.

A relatively simple method of interacting with your subconscious on a more "meaningful" level than just affirmation is what Carl Jung called Active Imagination.  It's basically phasing without taking that next step of moving into the visualization.  The most common experience is to achieve the hypnagogic state (where you begin "seeing" flashes of images and symbols in your mind) and interact with the images that appear.  So if a person appears, speak to them, ask them questions.  If a symbol appears ask it to show you it's true nature and it's effect on you.  What you're doing is allowing your subconscious to present itself to you.  You can gain a lot of personal insight this way.  You could also consider this to be a method of "healing the shadow self".

here is a good website with some further information on active imagination and dreams.

and a page on different concepts that Jung put forth that could be useful in understanding how to merge your subconscious and conscious minds more easily (especially the shadow self).
