It sounds normal to me, I'm not sure about the crackling sound though. Whenever I do energy work, or OBE I get the same sensations. A lot of people on this board freak out when they think their heart is beating to fast but it's really just the heart chakra activating.
Yeah, that's all happened to me except for the noise thing too. I can't imagine it would do you any harm though. Next time, go with it and see what happens. And tell the rest of us ! [:)]
I know what you mean about the "pulsating" sensation. I often feel this in my head and it isn't the same as the heart beat. I have heard the psychic children (James Twyman) refer to this as the "gift". I don't know much about how to use it yet, but I know that when I get that "pulsating" beat in my head it means I am capable of certain things - I am not sure what though or how to use it. I'm pretty sure though that it means you can communicate telepathically, and perhaps travel to other realms through your mind, and dreams take on a special function, and it is often a precursor to leaving the body. It is a special gift; unfortunately though, one that is little understood.

There are other possible reasons for the movement of the rhythm/pulse/beat, like it could be spilliage energy from the heart and it's moving to your hungry 3rd eye. It could've been completely out of energy, and the crackling sound could've been similar to a growling stomach (kinda funny to think of a person who's never heard his stomach growl before, only to stop eating because he was afraid the food might be the cause of the demon living in his belly's torment!)
I was wondering though, if you feel more vibrations in your forehead/3rd eye than anywhere else when you feel them, what exactly could that mean?
hey yellow sub, the cracking could have been astral noises, you would have been close enough to the astral at that point for weird sounds to occur. May also have been part of your process- i have had intense feelings from points in my head or third eye and rarely some kind of noise like that. The more you go through this the less this stuff freaks you.

I was lying in my bed last night pretty tired but my mind was still awake. I eventually calmed it down by not investing time to my thoughts and then I started to progressively relax my whole body. I was drawing up energy through my feet with each breath, centering it into my chakra below the belly button. Right after this all happened I began to feel a heavy pressure in my heart area. Then I felt a rhymic beat that was unlike my own heart beat. It felt different, seperate from the heart. As I focused on it, it grew stronger, then I felt this pulse move quickly from my heart area up to through my neck and then to my third eye. I could hear a crackling sound emitting from my third eye. this was kind of freaking me out a little so i quit and opened my eyes up.
