Hello... I've been trying to get OBE lately. Every night, before I went to bed (around 12 to 1 am) I will listen to binarals to trigger sleep paralysis. As far as I know, I only feel 'spiritually aroused' when I hear it for the first time. Then for the subsequent maybe 10 times I have not been feeling anything. I will also wake myself up at around 4 to 5 am to turn on the OBE timer. So far I only get sleep paralysis (I think) once. Yep, I will sometimes listen to binarals and OBE timer together on the same night.

Nowadays, I just fell asleep before my one hour binaral can even finish; I think I'm too tired.

So now the concern is, should I try to get OBE everyday? Or should I try it once every x days or something like that... Isn't it better to practise it everyday?

It's good to practice every day, but it's not good to try to project every day.  Why?
1- Because it messes with your sleep patterns, unless you are trying it in the morning
2- Because it represents an effort and an exertion.  Either of your energy body (trying to project all that energy outwards) or of a psychic nature- mental effort is mental effort and it'll induce mental exhaustion.
3-If you try too many times when you are still learning, you teach yourself to fail.  We are creatures of habit, and it'll set a bad association with trying to project, especially if you stick to only one method.  Pretty soon you will associate whichever method you choose with failure.  We are wired for magical thinking, and this is no different.
4- Becoming too obsessed with anything is detrimental to your health, whatever this is.  So practice, hone your skills, but don't exhaust yourself too soon.

binurals do not induce sleep paralysis.

they alter brainwave patterns, that's it.

you have to make use of those altered patterns.

but totally practice visualization and meditation every day.  you should only practice AP a couple times a week.  if you AP every day it will drain you big time and as CFT said, it will mess with your sleep patterns and you can accidentally create habitual programs in your brain that prevent you from succeeding.
be awesome.

Alright.. So what should I do in visualisation and meditation? How are they different from astral projection? I always thought that astral projection comes after meditation. Please advise.

Thanks ^^

Hi CF: I think you are right. Robert Bruce said that if you work to hard at projection... at the beginning... you might do it... just by will... and then you will not be able to do it for months... I didn't believe him... and I obsessively decided I would do it and with great energy projected to an office building like in a sudden burst and sure enough I was absolute blocked for months and couldn't even visualize... I still didn't believe it... then recently I had a great event on the heels of my Buhlmann seminar... and suddenly I got really stalled... I still didn't believe it... (I posted on stalled) and am just coming out of the deadened nerve areas... I think excessive work just deadens the nervous system... but, I wonder if diligent energy work as prescribe by Robert Bruce would overcome that problem... I don't do a lot of energy work... but, that may be the answer... what do you think?

I think a combination of cultivating meditation (that is, bringing yourself in deeper every time without going to sleep) and energy work are both beneficial.  Just don't do energy work for hours and hours (like I've seen people do time and again)- a few minutes an area are perfect if you do it every day.
Visualization exercises can be an additional exercise you can do while doing short meditations and that is good also, especially if, like me, clairvoyance doesn't come naturally.  Just remember to keep it light and fun.

And the answer to the OP is- yes, you meditate to trance and then try to AP.  You can practice a routine without going for the exit every time.

i like to try and wake up around 5am and go back to sleep also, but i cannot do this everyday or else my body will get used to this and automatically wake up at 5am everyday which i don't want so that's why i don't do that everyday.

Have you ever tried to OBE while napping? I found that if I try to leave my body at night before I go to sleep I just end up passing out for the most part. Almost every time I take a nap I have an OBE, most of the times without even trying now. Also when I do have an OBE in my room there is a little boy that is there almost every time so now I feel more comfortable doing this on my couch in the living room.

You got it even without trying? Well you must have practised it for a long time. I haven't even got one when I tried.
