Fyrenze

From what I understand this is a common experience, and no, it isn't really a specific "dark plane." What happens is occasionally one exits without developing astral sight.

Usually a quick fix is to basically will your sight into existance. It may help to mentally ask for it or affirm that it will begin to work.

One other thing - if she's projecting in a dark area she may have sight but not realize it. Solutions are for her to leave a light on while she projects, project during the daylight, or will a torch or a flashlight or even a ball of energy into existance so that she can see with that.

P.S. This is what part of the alphabet would look like if Q and R were eliminated.

Terry B

I agree with Fyrenze.

Another tip, she can try using her hand as if removing blindfold from her eyes. Or she can try to take a breath in the astral just like in the physical and ask for understanding (thanks to Frank's advice, it really works great).

I agree with Fyrenze and Terry B but only to a point.
Some projectors encounter a darkness which is the result of their perceptions being distorted on the ethereal or astral plane.
However there is also a separate region , perhaps a separate astral or ethereal plane, that is called the Void. It is my belief that the Void is a place totally devoid of beings. Monroe mentioned this Void on one or two occasiojns in his first book. The Void is not inherently dangerous but it can be disconcerting to inexperienced projectors.[8)][:(][?]
