I was just sitting here, thinking about my favorite fictional characters from the books I read when I thought that I would really like to meet them and say hi and see what's up. And I was pondering on this thought for a while until I started to think about Astral Projection.. Then it hit me! Could I create them on the Astral Plane? Could I actually talk and interact with people from fictional books? As a person that built there whole imagination on the stencils of books, I often develop fictional crushes *blush*... So, it would make me extremely dedicated to do Astral Projection more. I would be IMMENSELY happy if this was possible... I kind of already know the answer but I need reassurance! This is amazing!!
By the way, I also want to ask about something I heard. I heard that because all thoughts are truth and real, would that mean authors' universes are real, like Harry Potter for an example, and considering that millions of people think about Harry Potter, would that mean the reality would be stronger due to the 'thought fuel' it is being given?

In an LD its as real as you make it.
Go for it...

Great idea to add some motivation and intent to your early projections.  I would think perhaps using a distance phasing rundown (Kepple method) which takes place in your desired 'universe' might be a potentially successful method to achieve this.

As far as how 'real vs fake' imagined thoughts are.  This is not something, I believe, anyone really knows with any certainty.  The idea of this though is not new.  Several popular books and movie even deal with this concept of how imagined things are real.  This idea is something author Neil Gaiman visits (he wrote Stardust if you saw that flick) in many of his books/comics (American Gods, Sandman).  In regards to the Harry Potter universe being more real because it is more popular.  I think the more common view is it is active thought, so the Harry Potter universe would have been more real back when the books and movies were just coming up and many more people were thinking about it.

One interesting experiment would be waiting for say a movie premier or book release of a fantasy setting you are interested in and then seeing if you have more success reaching it during the short window after release when much thought is being given it.

In the end however my guess is you are going to have the most success getting to the places which are the most 'real' and important to you and how much thought others are giving to the setting isn't going to matter much.

You can access anywhere at any time of your choice. Time itself is irrelevant as it doesn't really exist in the NP. Its your perception of it that exists. We know dinosaurs were around a million years ago on planet Earth, they can be visited if you desire it.
It's your mind that forms the environment in a LD (with some interaction from other sources). This gives you the creative power of a God if you like. In the astral its not so malleable. Some environments you perceive are seemingly solid. You can't create a mountain range in these, yet others are open to your suggestions and will form whatever your thoughts and intent create.
A few environments can't be changed whatsoever. You are only there as a witness. These are only accessible after many years of practice and a natural ability to be able to understand the way they work. Some are formless, they have no 3D space within them. They are a mental singularity and a real challenge to interact with in any way. You don't want to return to the physical world too once you experience them.
The real / fake decision is yours to make.
If you get only one clairvoyant dream in your life, you'll make an instant assessment when the event seen occurs

Until then, ponder in the thought while getting deeper into meditation. It will pay off eventually
