describe it more...hmmm
well i pretty much lay down, and i have no problems letting all the muscles in my body be loose (after meditating for about 8 months, it comes naturally).  i let myself drift into a trance state, and don't move at all. during the trance, i either just stare into the depths of my eyes (poetic justice!) or make visualizations.  i usually have trance playing in the background, but i can meditate just fine without any music or with loud noise.  i'll feel myself start to sway, and i just focus on the meditation rather than projecting.  most of the time i'll drift in and out of sleep, and when i project i'll manage to bring myself enough out of it to see the white light swirling in front of my eyes.  at this point, i just concentrate on the light until i gain astral vision, which is usually after about a minute (this i actually pay attention to).  after i get astral vision, it's usually just a matter of seconds before i drift out - but don't rush this, because i did today and i ended up having dual perspectives, getting disoriented, and not being able to get far enough away because i couldn't move :)

You were asking for someone to tell you about his/her method and then eventually you were asked to describe yours. Nice of you to help others.

My method is different only from the point of "attack". The best for me is to start when I wake up early in the morning. Then just after the dream, when I realize that I am waking up, I actually do not move, do not open my eyes and I found myself in the transe state which I try to keep for as long as possible. Then I need to get the to vibrations, which I can get just by waiting for, or induce them by looking for the sensation of free fall in my mind, or by concentrating on a constant whisling that I hear in my ears when the room is quite (not sure everyone ears that). Anyhow, then I get the vibrations/ buzzing/ white light in my eyes, and I am ready to move out of my body. ANy movement then will be of the astral body, leaving the physical one behind me.
that kind of projection is actually pretty fast, since I start from a deep transe state, but most of the time it does not work because that early in the morning I need to visit the bathroom... ! AS to the meditation, I get so weak vibrations and some whisling but not projection (even after half an hour).

Hey, don't worry your not the only one who can hear that whistling noise.  I think everyone can... I can hear it while I'm fully concious.  :D

Faceless

Me too, if I concentrate on it I can make it sound REALLY loud, but apart from that I can't do anything with it :/

i had my first true projection yesterday
and this morning i found that when i went to meditate and try, i was able to shortcut to the pre-exit steps pretty quickly
like i got vibrations almost right away and the white light swirling in front of my eyes (fell asleep tho hehe)
i was wondering tho about all your methods for projecting and if you find that you have gotten exit time to almost nothing, assuming you've already projected
i pretty much let myself sink into the meditation, feel myself flowing in one direction or the other, and eventually i get vibrations and white light swirling or even patterns, followed by the projection reflex.  i know everyone differs, so i'm interested to hear what your method is and how long it takes you to exit on average now that you can. (feel free to respond if you haven't projected with your methods of attempting - i won't discriminate!)
