Hello everyone,

I used to meditate for out of body experiences when I was younger (I was probably around 13 or 14, and am now 16) and would become very relaxed, and finally try and push my self out of my body, and would usually get 'vibrations', or what I thought were them...

But now, since I was 15, these vibrations would come without trying, such as just being relaxed. Usually I can stop them before they get too strong by just shaking my head or moving, but sometimes they stay and get intense if I dont stop them, and they'll continue to stay even if I stand up and walk around or shake my head or what not.

These vibrations to me feel like... well.. if I were to have a pole stuck through my body lengthwise (from head to toe), it feels like rotating clockwise-to-counterclockwise really fast, changing directions every half rotation. Sometimes the vibrations go in different directions too, like side to side or up and down.

My mother said she read something in a book about a man (it was a well known book, but I forget the name) who could go into alternate awarnesses (OOBE's I assume) since he was a child without effort.

I've never gotten an OOBE because Im scared of them, and never let myself relax when the vibrations come. I can start them just by relaxing, or pushing my mind out of my body slightly...

basically... do you think the vibrations are the onset of OOBE's... and if so, should I try and see what happens if I let it go?

Its kind of hard to meditate now without them happening... and if they do happen, its quite distracting... any ideas on how to control them better?

Thanks!!

Well, my unqualified opinion is that you are showing Kundalini symptoms.  As for vibrations, the best way to get rid of them, is to OBE a lot- they seem to fade in intensity if you do it fairly often.  At least it has been so for me- when I go a long time between projections I get strong vibrations, but when I do it a lot they are sometimes not discernible or very faint.  Ironically, I like getting vibes because they let me know I'm on the verge, and I know to start exit techniques when the vibes start.  Go figure!

Ok, thanks for the input ^^ What kind of vibrational feelings do you guys get? Or is it along the same line as mine?

Thanks!

They can range from high frequency vibrations, like the ones you get from a vibrator, to a mechanical-type, more like a lawnmower (imagine you had a lawn mower floating right above your body- like an inch over it- complete with noise.  I also get a feeling of looseness-  slow waves  like the ocean- with a point-of view that changes with the waves, can be 'rocking' from front to back, or side to side, can be very slow or fairly fast (one circuit a second+_)- I've always thought of these as my energy body becoming 'loose', but not necessarily the same as  'vibrations'.  But they are definitely exit sensations.  I usually (when I do) feel the fast vibes first, then go to 'looseness' then at that point I can exit.

Thanks again for the input!

I guess one of these nights I'll let the vibrations continue and see what happens! :P

Dyamios,

I know the feeling what you are talking about with the vibrations way too well! It can be extremely scary and a intimidating experience which produces fear. I don't think no one on this board loves the vibrations at a point where it hurts.

After zillions of experiences, the harder and tougher vibrational attacks will eventually smooth out and will be entertaining and fun. You can really use this to your advantage tuning into your heart chakra and analyzing specific chakras and how they vibrate.

Once you are able to over-come the fear barrier and exit the physical body that is where the real adventure starts and its a beautiful one!

I USED TO GET THE VIBES SO STRONG I THOUGHT MY HEAD WAS ACTUALLY GOING TO COME OFF SO IT AN BE SCARY,  i do agree with the post that suggests the more often the less intense. if I deny the experience it just keeps building up until it has its way, if I go with it they become less intense and i actually have learned I need to have them because they release the building pressure, sort of like it hurts good.Just tell yourself you are going to make it and wake up just fine when you become afraid, it will be Ok dont worry, just explore the gift.
