I've tried this and it actually worked two times in a row. This guy claims he gets out of body every night. Cool stuff https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CIt6FDAOJD8&feature=youtube_gdata_player
That is excellent. This guy is exactly like me. I never succeeded from meditative state. I use the early hr technique as well very often. He is right by saying that you have to make a point of remembering and noticing how many times you will wake up briefly at night. All of us do it either to turn on the other side, drink some water or use the bathroom. The problem is that most of us feel so groggy during these few seconds of awakefulness that all we want to do is to pass out back to sleep. But if we make an affirmation before going to bed to become more aware during night wake ups and hold consciousness for a little, then lay still, it will produce a quick SP. I for example as soon as I become aware that I am awake, I turn on my favorite side and start imagining that my bed is swaying. The inner motion gives me instant vibrations. But it is hard to achieve this when your brain is too awake, like in the middle of the day when you are not sleepy or tired and just lay for a meditation session. So, yeah, I strongly encourage everyone to try this technique.
Same here Lightbeam! I think meditation in the day is great for relaxation but I could never achieve OBE's during meditation. Sometimes I will get some clairvoyance if I am relaxed enough though. I love this sweet spot method and find that it works wonders.
I'll try it too. The SP part I never get so it'll be interesting to see the results.
Good find. :-D
Great idea!
I usually wake up after a dream has ended and write down as much information as I can.
I'll try playing possum instead, see what happens,
Great vid! And GREAT advice for newbies, I for one use this technique most nights. I set an alarm, But I fail plenty as i do just feel so groggy and cannot concrete my thoughts enough, Its a hit and miss for me wether i can hold that conscious thought or wether i will just give up.
Its sneakily easy just to say AH BUGGA IT, Im going to sleep haha. You roll over, 1 second passes and it too late. :-P
Last night I awoke briefly, then attempted to AP, using the "Sweet Spot" method, with my own twists. It's easy for me to awaken and find a Sweet Spot, since I have to reposition myself so many times during the night.
I got deep into SP, but I never try to exit the body physically, I just stay aware and await the show. This shift normally occurs after a brief "click out".
So, I click back in and find myself in an area of total darkness. I can see that this darkness has incredible depth to it and start to see a "wisp" of light in the distance. Now other wisps are joining this one, they are dancing around, zipping at top speed from left to right. Kind of putting on a show. They have also morphed into what seems like more of a orbs of light.
I watch this for a while, they get closer to me, then move away. Kind of teasingly. I start to feel that there is a "consciousness" behind this.
Just as that thought enters my mind, they come together as a collective and create a road in front of me. As quick as I travel down this road, they are creating anew.
Then they speed ahead and as I get close to their destination I see that they have created a Monument, then a Castle, then a city. This is incredible, they are moving like a "etch a sketch", but creating incredible structures with full color as they go.
I now see what is happening, they are trying to communicate with me. They are attempting to be friends. They have gone into my consciousness and saw what kind of things I loved and were creating a World for me.
I stop them though and Thank them. I didn't come to their realm to have them create my World. I wanted to see theirs.
Once again, they read or heard my thoughts, because everything immediately changed.
All of the structures they had made for "my World" disappeared and I became witness to the most beautiful and awesome sight. All I see in front of me is shades of colors, but they are in lines, just free floating in the area. It's kind of like the Aurora Borealis, but this is vertical instead of horizontal. The colors are incredibly vivid and surreal. They are all pastels and are "positive" colors. I can't see any dark colors or shades anywhere.
I bask in their light until I lose consciousness and "click out" again.
This was an incredible Journey.
Thank You for listening! :)
Always love reading about your experiences Lionheart!
He's awesome.
It's actually called polyphasic sleep what he's talking about.
The actual sweet spot... to be even more precise.. is to wake up at the brink of the slow wave sleep transition into REM. We naturally wake up just before and after REM but it's a 'microwake'. I suppose this is learning to recognise this micro-wake.
Great vid.
I often hit the sweet spot. I get paralysis, I'll feel vibrations, and then everything will just stop. And i'll feel weightless. I'll try to roll out or reenact the sensation of floating (like being in an elevator), but nothing happens.
Would it be easier for me to have an out of body experience via lucid dreaming? Or am i doing something wrong when I enter sleep paralysis?
How refreshing to hear the young man explain his simple way of achieving separation. So many people try much to hard, especially early on in their effort. Relax, it's natural, normal and a easy thing to do, as he said. Then once you're out's where the real fun and learning begins.
yeah his videos are great, I remember him deleting some good ones in the past that i found helpful too.
Despite using affirmations I still can't seem to end up aware during the 'micro wakes' without the use of
WBTB or alarms. Guess I'll use those to form the habit then hope for the best
Well I finally had some success with this sweet spot method,
i ended up recording a message on my phone and saving it to my alarm set to go off at 3am.
"wake up don't moved"
It worked great, I opened my eyes lay perfectly still, and as my eyes began to close I imagined myself trying to walk across the room,
the vibrations came ,very light at first and they faded out pretty quick, then moments later they came back much stronger
I felt the sensations of what some discribe as bees buzzing around in your head which i had never experienced before.
Also heard a male voice say something but i don't think he was talking to me
I could feel my ethric body partly out up to my chest, I was lying on my side so that could have caused the failed exit
In the past when I have projected in this way I've been laying on my stomach I feel myself float out up to my chest, and i 've thought Let go! and done the cannonball exit into another reality. but kind of want to have some control of it now.
I was pretty happy after wards and feel more confident with less doubts and fear,
another little learning curve I guess :-D

First off, Congratulations Sixx! :-)
Now, your bodily position only has to do with your successful "exit", if you think it does.
I have exited from laying on my stomach, side and back. The only time I had one stop is when I started to exit through the top of my head, then realized that my headboard my bed was already against the wall. I thought I would end up between the walls of my home, silly me, lol! :-D But, that was enough to halt that projection instantly.
The trick to it is, observe what's occurring and ALLOW what's going to happen to happen. Don't think to much about it. Even if you find yourself exiting through your mouth or your kneecap. You will definitely have a story to share with us the next day!
Thanks Lionheart :-)
I used this technique last night, & added intention to it. I had my first astral projection in nearly a decade! It was a very, very long & vivid experience. Judging from the setting, it could have been the "belief system territories" (is this focus 27?). It was a very natural setting- a lot of forest & parkland. I don't remember very much, but I do know that I was talking to someone there, & I started crying, just really crying to him, & saying "I have a body in the earth-life system, & I don't want to go back there!! "
He said something about how I could go to a certain place there, & do something or other, then I could maybe stay there.
Right now I'm thinking that if this is how we die, then there is truly nothing to worry about. It would be a celebration if it were common knowledge. What is sad is the people left behind to clean up the mess :| :o
Gotta go to bed soon. I'll try again.
Congratulations! 8-)
Here's to many more! :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
Thanks! :-D
Nothing last night, did dream about AP though. Was relaxing before I had to get up, & a half-thought came into my mind, for just a split second about why I didn't have any AP before I awoke, that I could remember anyhow. Then a voice enters my conciousness saying "just laying low" then I heard what I would call "typical sounds from my work" . As if to say that I had to conserve my energy for the day ahead, instead of AP or OBE.
Tomorrow is my day off so I'll try again.
Goggles I am glad this is helping you. =D I really wanted to post this. I used that technique too and had two nights of success.
Keep it up. =D
Gratz googles i'm happy for you.
I haven't reallly had much success since I last posted, might be work and 10 hour days
being too tired.
my phasing is progressing though :-)
yeah what he said is so true, I have always had by far the best experience getting to the separation state right after waking up usually about an hour after falling asleep.
Thanks for the link to this vid, Phaseshift! I'll definitely check it out and see what I can do
I tried this method last night, and I nearly projected twice. As soon as I woke up, I quickly remembered not to move. I then imagined myself bouncing, and I suddenly felt myself falling. I definitely wasn't prepared. I felt like I was falling through the sky. Then later on I heard this whooshing sound but my shoulder hurt so much I gave up.
I like this method a lot. I used to do it before, but thought it only worked if you imagine the last dream in the middle of a rem cycle. But now I know you can use separation methods. The great part is that you wake up completely relaxed, so I don't have to go through all the relaxation and energy work when I try it from a waking state. It doesn't affect my sleep cycle either, which is great. I'm really looking forward to doing this more often.

I have not posted much in the last couple months as I have not had much time to focus on AP.
I also clicked on the link and the video is unavailable  . Has anyone found a replacement video? I read through the post but I don't think all the video information is covered.
From what people are saying it sounds like a good technique and I would love to try it out.
Can someone explain the method? The video is GONE!
If the link is gone, then the link is gone.
If you read back through the thread then you can put most of it together; LightBeam, Lionheart, Bedeekin and others added the essential details. This is primarily an early morning, post-sleep method where you search for the proper consciousness/awareness/framework of mind that is conducive to an "exit". It is fairly elusive, given my own experience...I only know it when I see it...
I think this form takes some prior experience...that way, when it appears (sometimes almost providentially) it is very recognizable...you see it, and jump at the chance (like I have described in some of my experiences)...
For those readers seeking techniques, please search the first and third boards in the highlighted BLUE threads; much to read there. :-D
well seeing as the vid is gone, can someone who has done the technique explain it in depth please this post really interested me, and I want to try it, my comprehending is terrible which is why I asked for in depth step by step explanation thanks

The technique involves waking up consciously. Every time you awaken during your night's sleep, you must try to remain completely still, keep your eyes closed and then attempt to separate from the body instantly with whatever technique you prefer (or you can use multiple techniques to see which one induces the vibration). Immediately after waking up from a dream, the subtle body is still quite loose (because it has just left the dream or astral world) and you can re-enter the non-physical world consciously, and quite quickly.
This technique has worked wonderfully for me, and it gets much easier later in the night. You first need to keep a record of how many times you wake up during a normal night's sleep. This technique does not involve trying to retain awareness while drifting off to sleep, or maintaining a delicate balance in the hypnogogic state for prolonged periods.
Step 1 : Wake up naturally at whatever time you usually do, (for example, 3AM), and while trying to fall asleep again, make several affirmations to yourself that the next time you wake up, you will remain still and that you will wake up consciously, knowing exactly where you are, where you have just been, and that you must now immediately attempt an OBE. It doesn't take much practice to do this; its hard as hard as it sounds.. It's just about reversing a habit. Until now you have been waking up from a dream, moving to get more comfortable for a few minutes, and then falling asleep again; but this time, you will make an intention to wake up without moving and with a clear goal in mind.
2. Repeat this step every time you wake up briefly during the night. Making a suggestion in this deeply altered, drowsy state is quite powerful, (because the conscious mind is far less active and the subconscious can be programmed) and one reason it works is because an individual later wakes up with the last thing he/she thought about before falling asleep previously. Make the affirmation with force and conviction for perhaps 30-60 seconds, and fall asleep naturally.
3. Once you have succeeded in waking up with some awareness and without moving, you must then immediately start practising your chosen technique to induce the vibrations. I first stumbled upon this technique a few years ago when I was in a normal dream and woke up at about 6 am. I was awake for about 15 seconds, but as I relaxed in bed I passionately wished I could experience the dream again. I was sad that it left me. For no reason at all, I started spontaneously imagining the dream I just left, like a daytime fantasy, and then out of nowhere, I felt vibrations rush through my body, I heard a whooshing wind sound in my ear, saw blackness, and then found myself in the exact same dream environment I left. That changed everything, and since then I have used this technique ever since.
4.When you feel yourself awaken from a dream or sleep, do not move, blink your eyes or do anything unless it is absolutely necessary. The goal here is to remain in to this deeply altered state, as close as possible to the dream state you just left. This is the sweet spot. The big advantage is that you have awoken with your mind refreshed, (Monroe also recommends this for beginner practitioners in his first book) and you should not experience the same level of mental exhaustion as when trying to remain aware while falling into the hypnogogic state. If you do wake up extremely groggy and cannot think with any coherence, it may be too early in the night. You will come closer in the next awakening. This technique can work very well immediately after REM sleep (like most techniques), because your physical muscles were paralysed from REM, and therefore deeply relaxed, but also in REM sleep you mind is more alert compared to the other sleep stages and can woken up easier. This is what you're for, a deeply relaxed body with a partially awake mind.
5. Perform your projection technique immediately after awakening, and imagine yourself climbing, spinning, rising, jumping, bouncing or whatever you choose as strongly as you possibly can. Try to feel the vertigo in your torso as your perform your techniques. Usually, you will spend 60 seconds performing your technique. You can choose to use just one technique for the entire 60 seconds, or use 5 or 6 different techniques, spending 10 seconds on each. Alternatively, you can also imagine the dream you just left instead, (called a Dream Exit induced lucid dream), and if you included all your senses, this can induce the vibrations too, and you will find yourself back in the dream environment. If no projection has occurred after 60 seconds, there is the possibility that the sweet spot has faded, which is no problem. You just go back to bed, make your affirmation (which might be the most important part of this entire technique, because the affirmation is what makes you wake up consciously in the first place) and attempt it again the next time you wake up. Another important point is that you must practice your technique routine even if you have moved. This is vital. Not only for establishing the habit, but also because I have actually projected quite a few times when I have moved my leg slightly, and I was shocked that I still projected about 15 seconds later. In the very beginning, still attempt your projection technique even if you have moved for 5 minutes and know that it will not work that particular time. Each time you do this, you are actually reducing the amount of time it takes to remember your intention. In the first few days, you may find you have woken up and moved for 5 minutes, before remembering what to do. But each day, that time decreases, from 5 minutes, to 3 minutes, to 1 minutes, to 30 seconds, and then by day 7 you will find that you are waking up at 6 am and now knowing what to do almost immediately. The training will not take long.
Do not be discouraged if the technique doesn't work the first few times. It is simply a matter of time, and when it happens, the projection occurs very quickly. Remember, even if you attempt this at 10 separate awakenings with no success at all, the technique itself only takes 60 seconds each time to perform, so that is only 10 minutes of effort in total. In the past, I would have spent an hour with my old technique of trying to fall asleep consciously, while struggling to stay aware in the hypnogogic state, and I would end the session so frustrated that nothing happened. I wouldn't even feel the vibrations. Plus my mind was so tired, and I would just want to fall asleep. This sweet spot technique doesn't require that. You simply wake up, stay still, attempt a projection, and if its not quite the right time, that's no problem. Go back to sleep after a minute or two. You will be ready to catch the next awakening.
Good luck...
