Ap Friends,
You don't hear too often with people having OBE's seeing the white light, tunnel in their experiences. Mostly, we hear this from a Near Death Experience...
Wouldn't you think that this would apply to both circumstances?
Tvos
Maybey it's a form of transition that can't occur while your consciousness is still attached to your physical body.
I've helped in a few "soul rescues" where a person's soul is still trapped in the earth plane. I help them to cross over into the after-life, and they become engulfed in white light, which is "the" tunnel, then vanish. Because of this I wonder if there is a kind of permanence about this gateway.
What about skilled projectionists like Robert Monroe or Robert Bruce.. would you think that they would be able to see the white light during a persons death?
I've heard different stories about Monroe and his family seeing him pass during obe and I wonder if this was true. Along with Robert Bruce helping those who are seriously sick and dying. Do you think he is there helping them along?
Tvos
Hehehe... we're posting at the same time.
When witnessing a soul crossing over into the after-life, I do see the white light engulf them.
James,
The white light that engulfs the person who is crossing over, would it much represent the movie 'Ghost'? When did you witness this and is it possible to jump into the white light with that person - showing them reassurance and comforting?
Tvos
Tvos,
I can only talk from the point of view of the soul rescues Iv'e been a part of, but I hope it can give some perspective and input here.
For me, I'm not witnessing this from a OBE state, I'm witnessing it in the physical through spirit vision (or clairvoyance). The white light is like an overhead floodlight. I can look into it, but not go into it.
The comfort I have given to a soul is typically in helping resolve the situation that's kept them held here, be it through grief or sorrow, or "amnesia" - forgetting what happened at the time of death. When the thing that's holding them back is resolved, there has always been a guide of some kind - like a deceased relative that appears in the light to help take them up.
You'd be surprised how many times people who have just died are actually frightened of the light and of the guides who come to help them.
Belief systems, or lack of can play a big part of this fear.
James.
Some time ago someone here posted an exercise where you visualise a white light bathing you from above, then a large tube coming down over you.At this point I visualise a round cover in the top of my head sliding aside and the white light pouring in & filling me up. At this point I move upward into the tube at high speed coming out in a tunnel. After this the experiences vary. I was wondering if this is the same white light you are talking about. And if so, it seems to have many uses.I was wondering if others have found other uses for it. I mean are there other ways I could use this light that I'm not aware of?
Paint1,
Thats a interesting idea and concept. I know that I've heard from hypnosis tapes, auto suggestion about the white light engulfing you, feeling it radiate your body etc..etc.. I wonder if it has the same correlation as during the NDE - the white light. I guess my biggest fear and would raise another question - lets say you are out of body and you see the white light.. would it be possible that you actually have died and this light is finally coming to you.... -

Thanks to a high speed crash, I have been physically dead.Or at least my heart stopped. I didn't see a white light coming for me,but it was a most wonderfully peaceful feeling.Seems silly to say it but for the first few years I kind of looked forward to my time being up and dying so that I could go back to this peaceful feeling.Of course with the passage of time I've lost touch with this feeling. I don't think I would have cared if a white light was coming for me at that time. Now it would signal something exciting coming my way as these experiences in the tunnel are always interesting and the white light seems to be what gets you there.
Hi, yes others can see the white light when helping the disembodied to pass over.
I had an OBE when I was studying with my Teacher way back in the mid seventies where I travelled along the tube of white light to the Akasha and Park at F27.
It happened again about 4 years ago when I purposely went up into the white light and travelled along the tube to reach F27 again.
Love always.
Tayesin,
I always thought that the white light was for people who have passed over and not among the living could access the light.
When you entered the light, what was it like? Would it be the same feeling as if you've died from the physical or during obe?
Paint,
Sorry to hear about the high speed car crash. How long were you pronounced dead? Glad to see that you are still around to share this valuable information.

Voice of Silence:
When you're 18, drunk, think you can outrun the cops; thats what happens! I was out for 5 days, when I regained consciousness the head nurse gave me a verbal going over & happened to mention that they had had to restart my heart a couple of times. I did not have a NDE or because of the drugs cannot remember. But I can clearly remember being given a choice to return or not. Not so sure this is valuable, but now when the cops come after me, I pull over.
Tayesin:
I think perhaps it was you who shared this White Light Method,if I remember correctly. If so, Many Thanks. I attempt this method regularly, successfully 2 out of 10 times.I haven't been able to figure out what I'm doing wrong the other 8 times. When you go up the tube do you request where you want to go? Or like me do you just take your chances? Can travel in this tube be used for other things? It doesn't sound like you do this regularly, why not?
Also, you mention that you were OBE, while I phase; if this makes a difference.
Thanks Guys

what is f27?
F27 is a specific section of the belief territories in Robert Monroes model of consciousness. It is a place where you go when you have died and are either free of your belief constructs as far as the afterlife goes or you have been there before (I would assume... when youve been there why would you go anywhere else?). Its just a transition area from physical life to a more expanded existance according to Monroe.
Paint1,
Thank You for being open and sharing the story. Do you think astral projection helped you, turned you around? How did you come across it.
Did you type your story at http://www.near-death.com ?? Every so often I'll go to that site to learn a little more, compare and contrast between the oobe and nde.

I started lucid dreaming by intent at a young age. My first OBE was 4 years after the accident. I returned home from a party ticked, I collapsed onto my bed and a half second later I was standing beside my bedroom window dead sober and looking out. I immediately noticed that I wasn't wearing my glasses & I could see perfectly. Then I turned around & saw my body lying on the bed. This freaked me out & I was immediately back in my body. I sat up
remembering what had just happened & decided to lay back down & try to get out again. This time I saw a monster at the foot of my bed & was badly scared. I didn't try again for about a month; & when I did I had no success.I really had no knowledge on the subject & didn't know what I should be doing.
In hindsight I think it was the booze that helped. I was totally relaxed.
Interesting site you linked to. There's no point in my posting to them; I have nothing to report.
Paint1,
Many people that I've come across described the same experience by looking back at their bodies and freaking out. I've had the experience many times touching my body, feeling the texture, skin, hair and with a dual mindsplit view. It can be a little creepy at times but in retrospect reality real bites hard.
I'm sure the booze did help relax you and the experince took its course. I remember one time coming home from my friends house after hours of music recording in his studio. I was so tired and headed straight to bed, when I opened my eyes I was looking out the window. It was a beautiful summers day, daylight in my bedroom and then the phone rang. I picked it up and the voice on the other end said "you are dreaming" and thats when I was blasted back to the body, vibrations from hell. When I managed to roll out of the body there was a green hovering mist above me and I found myself on the carpet paralyzed.
When I finally did return, it was difficult going back to sleep never a less!

Voice of silence,
in answer to your question... I use and teach what I call the white light method, firstly as a means to open and bring the light into the body so that the experiencer feels it and can use it for so many different things in daily life, and secondly as a base to explore their souls experiences, hopefully culminating in a reconnection to the higher-self.
This last one is done by actively entering and then travelling along the 'tube' of white light to reach different awareness levels and/or astral layers.
As to how it feels, I get a warm, confortable, freedom-like, energizing feeling when I open to the light, and this continues as I enter the 'tube'. Some people report a feeling of nausea in their stomach as they imagine accelerating themselves along the tube, which I think is related to real inertia and possibly their inner fear.
I don't remember the last time I died so cannot answer your last question, other than to say I think it may feel similar no matter how you come to enter it.
Paint1,
At first I used to enter the tube and just allow myself to go with it, and each time I went exactly where i was meant to. Which tells me that the soul we are knows already.
Over the past couple of years, I entered the tube with my Intention set as to what or where I want to go. It works most of the time, although there are times when I feel myself being turned away from the direction I intended, but that is fine too, as I always end up somewhere that I needed to be.
Yes, I haven't been doing this regularly for more than a year by now. But, initially I did it every night without fail for about six months and then allowed myself breaks when needed and these journeys when I felt the tug inside to go again.
Now I just teach it to others, and have recently gotten the message that I have to return to the various realms and continue where I left off last time.
I probably won't use the method of entering the tube again as I have experience of the places and easily remember how to get there by stepping straight into them from meditation.
So, I think the method is wonderful to use as we gain experience and our 'higher' memories, but after you have mastered the journeying process (worked out how it will work for you) it may not be necessary to use again.
I use the term F27 because more people understand that it describes a layer in the astral realms associated with the Park that newly dis-embodied's go to after physical death, and that some people claim the hall of records is to be found there. I agree with most of it, although the Akasha (akashic record) is there, I find differences to how some people see or experience it.
Good travelling all.
I think the white light for a person crossing over is going to be more eternal than the white light we may see in our ap's.
These lights lift us to higher planes that we can not reach our selves.
The white light at death may be even brighter because it takes the person to the ultimate highest plane of all.
Tayesin,
Do you teach the class on-line, have a building classroom, or travel the world?

Hi, I teach it in circles of up to 12 people. Most are women, obviously. LOL.
Would love to travel and share this around the world. It seems better for the person who will have the experience to be learning it in small face to face groups rather than trying to work it out at home for yourself. Although that's how I did it !
Maybe good fortune will smile upon me soon and I can teach more people who will then go out and share it with more and more people, for free of course.
Love always.
Tayesin,
Ever thought about writing a book on this, or recording a session?
I've been working on my web site and decided to abolish the ftp and go with a modern approach releasing my journals to the public.
Tvos
Hi,
The book is written, now it's the hard slog of posting it to Publishers. Two extracts from the book have been used here and one was published in a specialist magazine two years ago.
Glad you are sharing freely.
Tayesin,
Yeah. i'm not too worried about my material being published. Although, the material is copyrighted by law. I can't see the point not sharing and helping the community. Also, most of my material is experiences which have been written by the ages - nothing real new there.
That's cool that someone used your ideas and work.
Tvos
I agree. Funny how you can read an old book and find something in it that we thought we had come up with in our writings. Nothing new under the sun, with the exception of how you put the messages across so more people can understand it easily.
Tayesin,
I really enjoy Robert Bruce and how he arranged the old school (occult) of thought and brought the ideas/practices/unexplained to the modern 21st century, taking out the mysticism. So many people that are out there are writing books on astral projection. How far can this be taken? I feel what is truly missing is the material for when one is out of the body, how can we "all" help our physical and astral plane levels to make the worlds we experience a better place!
Sure its easy to project, fly around, chase tail and validate. But the whole concept of projecting goes beyond this. We should be focusing our energy in loving one another, helping, caring each other. I know that sounds mushy but God has given us this gift and we should be spending this energy wisely.
Tvos
I agree. Mysticism needs to be taken out of the equation altogether, so that everyone can understand just how natural the having of paranormal experiences is.
Personally, I think the use of mystifying it all was more about having control over who could know than for any other reason.
And I also agree with not wasting time and effort on buzzing around the astral layers for fun or entertainment. We can and do find the memories we have as Souls if we intend it and these will lead us beyond the astral to higher awareness levels where we can remember all that has brought us to here and now.
Yes, Love is the key. Finding it inside ourselves is the hard part, because most people are looking for what they percieve as love, instead of the solid unconditional Love of the creative force that we embody.
Tayesin,
When you are in the astral - what do you use to feel love, devotion, to raise your consciousness into the higher levels? When you feel the love, does the white light immediately come to you or is is already there waiting?

Hi,
I haven't used the astral body for many years, except when sleeping. Along the way I learned to step my awareness up and be where I wanted to be. Love is ever present, as is the Light, we only need to reach for it and it is there.
Love always
Tayesin,
Do you have any simple suggestions for reaching the light and feeling love? Can you give a few examples walking through this?
Tvos
Tayesin- About 10 years ago I went to get regressed to see my past lives (it didn't work- All I could remember is floating around feeling blissful, but that's another thread) part of the technique the hypnotist used was, at the end, I would enter an elevator and go up, and up, until you started to feel the white light getting brighter- then you arrived at the "top floor", and when you stepped out you were surrounded with the white light that made you feel loved and protected. I have to say that the "white light" meditation was worth the trip (and money)- I often go back to it. I don't suppose that was you, was it?
Quote from: CFTravelerTayesin- ...... I often go back to it. I don't suppose that was you, was it?
No, I live in Australia and I don't charge money to teach the White Light method I use.
Glad to hear you enjoyed your experiences.

Yes, at my web pages is a small description of the method I use. You can click on the blurb about simple spirit at the bottom of my posts to get there.
Tayesin,
I reviewed the technique - sounds simple and basic. Just need to add that to the trance state while I'm in between bodies. I might want to try that while I'm fully obe and see what happens. I find that when I'm out there's no time to relax, or enjoy - just go go go...
Tvos
ps. good call on getting off the airplane!
