this waking up method

So in my previous post someone mentioned this method I just wanted to find out exactly what it is. What is this waking up method exactly? I guessing obviously you try to go into an OBE the second you wake up but why must you keep dead still? and does it matter if you wake up on your side?

Please someone fill me in on the exact needs for this method.

Hi, I have done this  numerous times, usually this method will get me a very short experience. I would start with 5 hours of sleep and wake up. Stay up for about 20 minutes then go to sleep on a recliner on my back.  I would say to myself  "I will wake up in 20 minutes and have a out of body experience" I would lay on my back and fall asleep for some time and automatically wakes up slowly.  The feeling I get is tired and groggy its like I'm  trying to wake up but the sleep over-powers me and I give in and lay still.  At this point I would just relax and clear my mind and thoughts. A vibration will kick in within a few second.  That is the sigh post for me that it worked.  However, I don't like this method because the experience is shorter for some reason.

A faster method that works is when you gain your concious self awareness with the hypnapompic noises still present. Keep physically still and try to roll out or similar if you use this method. Alternately you can imagine being in a swing and generate the associated tactile feeling. Once you become engrossed you then jump off the swing into a bottomless pit or through the clouds if that's more pleasing. The image should appear and then you fly around thinking of a location. Green fields trees ect below. You can use anything for the sensation of falling or flying initially. It's what you find easy and can relate to so it can be increased and used to give the feeling of moving a great distance.
Ignore any physical aspect of waking, thoughts of this nature will wake you.
Thats the basics.
There's far more where the eye can't see.
Close your eyes and open your mind.

Is this done with a full night of sleep? Waking in the morning consciously before your body does?

It applies anytime you wake.
If you can meditate into complete dissociation from the physical, using this carefully will give instant success in 'at will projections'.
It's most prominent fault is being bodily awake before mentally aware. It's an instant fail then and the wake back to bed method should be utilised.
If you're fortunate enough to become lucid during the dreams last scenes, hit the go button on this. You get around 3 secs to switch away from physical body awareness developing, before you would normally move and kill the noticeable sounds. These hypnapompic sounds are always present.
See if you have the control to balance on a knife edge between the two realities.
Thoughts here are extremely responsive, you'll learn this if you're successful.
The experiences from these thoughts are on another level.
First see how you go with the 3 secs...

Thank you! I think I will have to pay close attention and recognize my conscious state when the opportunity arrives.  Only then will I be able to try your method.

It's not my method, it's something I found that can work wonders if you learn the challenge. Originally I started a topic ' Want a nightmare?' this dreamstate puts you in a prime position to get oob using the ability of 'forced dream exit'.
It never caught on.
It works so well and really tests your fears. You learn some serious fear control this way but it's probably too much for the modern mind to accept.
Anyway, the first part to try is that already mentioned. If you constantly get there and almost succeed then perhaps more info may help. Waking up each time you try is normal for a few weeks. You may require the process of waking to be altered into a more SP like manner. This subconcious programming may take a few weeks to set in motion.
It's doable though.

I think this is an interesting technique to learn "the waking method".  I can see the benefit of getting a full night of rest and shift to another conscious before waking.  This way,  one can still have energy to go work lol.

 I'll read this Xanth and see the similarities.
I found this worked in the late 60's and this method gave way to my first 360 degree vision experience.
It led to many lessons too, one reason to promote it lol.
Most methods, self discovered, already exist and claiming to be the first isn't an option.
I was truly on my own with the art until around 1974, by that time the astral proper was fully opened.
This method really helped once it was mastered that is.
A quiet environment is a real help too. External noises reduced the success rate. Worth mentioning
