heh heh.........it sounds funny but i am going to try it. thanks. at the least it will give me a good laugh.
the only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing in the face of it.

I think this is more profound than people realize...

When the frontal lobes are stimulated, you have near instant loss of ego, laughter, joy, happiness, etc.  Negative emotions or thoughts simply have no use.

BTW, how was the book?  I was always to lazy to go and buy it.

smilecollecter

The book is interesting and I will be buying a copy of my own so that I can mark in it.  It has different exercises to further stimulate the amygdalas.  We evidently already stimulate that area by our thought life and I made a decision a long time ago to change my neg. thinking to something better and I did but, it has only been in the last few years, that I've had some really powerful tools to know how to do that in a big way...1st. my Bible, next "The Conversations With God" books, then recently,"The Power of "The Subconscious Mind" by Joseph Murphy and now Neil Slade's work....all stepping stones to where I am now....from a song..."with more love and more joy that age and time can never destroy!" and that is available "to whosoever will"!  (I'm not sure if the BTW meant by the way or it was a question to someone else with those intials but I went with my 1st thought).

You know, all this "clicking the amygdala forward" talk reminded me of Pete Sanders' stuff about the "Joy Center" of the brain. This was also about stimulating the center of the head with imagery. But I believe in his case he thinks he is stimulating the pineal gland. I wonder if it is all the same thing.

RoyHarper

By stimulating the Third Eye, Pineal Gland, Amygdala, Frontal Lobes etc. we are working towards the same goal, in a relative same area of the brain.  Thus they are interconnect in one way or another.

sounds funny but will tickling your brain not give you brain damage to do that you would need to drill a hole in your head like they did like 60 years ago to get rid of evil nooooo i think i'd rather keep a crystal under my pillow to get rid of negs thank u very much

Ronaldo...all the posts ive seen with you in them have o.o one bit of sarcasm or another...-.- Why? [:(!] Is this all a joke to you..?[?]

Helmut

Hi,

Ronaldos sarcasm has some point to it. You can not tiggle your brain directly or by means of tactile imagination. The brain simply has no tactile-sensory self-representation to feel itself. I dont know Harpers technics, but Ive done some research on the topic of brain selfstimulation both in literature and in practice. When you think you stimulate your brain (with NEW for example) you actually stimulate the skin on your head.

There are neuroreflectorial connections to some parts of the brain via the skin (of the head), but I doubt, the are precise enough to single out any anatonical structure in the brain. On the other hand, if you become aware of a neurological process (which may include the amygdala) by introspection, the neuroanatomical circuits are already very complex and involve many different brain centers and connctions.

Also what gives tiggling (your brain and other parts) with NEW for example such a happy feeling is the release of hormones and endorphines (oxytocine and others)that also happens when you get (a good)massage.
Perhaps I am a bit off topic, as I dont know Harper, so maybe smilecollecter can you fill us with some more info on the pocess?
(website? books?)

Keep in mind we are simply explaning what we believe is going on, you can not discount the experience by investigating the explanation.  Whether or not this model can account for every detail is a moot point.

Using your tactile imagination can open the door to other possibilities and the sensations felt are perhaps the manifestations of these possibilities.  Whether this is the amygdala, frontal lobes, kundalini, etc. it is up to you.

hey paul u wanna lighten up mate you could try tickling your balls that always does the trick for me[;)]

To the skeptics....I'm still learning and from what I've read so far and what I have personally experienced..(I imagined (thought) to stimulate the amygdalas this morning and I felt a definate click inside my head (I also feel that movement, clicking) when I am doing energy practise for going out-of-body)...anyway...most of what we do is from thought...imagination.... whether it's consciously or subconsciously so if brain tickeling or stimulation is felt physically or mentally, the end results are still being manevested in people's lives.  Life is about perception and this is the brain stimulator's perception and it works for us.  There is so much more to life and living in God's great creation than most people perceive so far.  Neil Slades ideas are worth checking into (with an open mind).  What an adventure!

Hi,

to make it clear, my post was not to criticise anyones experience. Im in the meditation business for 33 years and I value everyones experience. I think however, if we talk about our methods and our experiences we have to use some kind of common language. If you relate your technics and experiences in the language of science, you have to be aware of its background. Otherwise its just sounds  nonsence(in the language of science). I feel the topic of relating internal experiences to neuroanatomical and neurophysiological structures is too important to just go and say I activated a specific brainstructure, when actually I just activated some corner of your mind. Unless doing a brainscan to tell me which parts I actually activated I cannot be sure. So far my critisism to the amygdala business.
Im always keen to learn new technics, that tell me something new, so Im still waiting for some more background information on the amygdala topic from smilecollecter. You really made me curious!

Helmut....I apologize for not putting the web site on to where you can get more information about the amygdala stimulation.  I'm new to the information myself and evidently we stimulate that part of the brain naturally just by thought (decideing to think positive or neg.) but according to Neil Slade (you can find his web site by looking up frontal lobes clicking or going back to earlier in June on this web site at RoyHarper's question about going oob while awake.) We can do it deliberatly and get greater results....with practise.  My belief is that we are spiritual beings here on a great journey and we can make it a wise and pleasant journey with the right knowlege and understanding or we can be miserable and unhappy according to our unwillingness to make better choices for better outcomes to get that wise knowlege and understanding.  (This information is brought to you by an eternal, ageless, soon to be 60 year old chick (definatly not an old hen)[;)]

Hi,

I found the website http://www.h2net.net/p/nslade/art/Brain/brainrev2.html#"Greetings
The prices seem to be rather noncommercial imo. Im still contemplating if he really has something NEW to contribute?
Anyone compaired Slates technics with others?

I stumbled across a forum if anyone is interested, http://groups.yahoo.com/group/brainexplorers/

I just thought I would share my fun experience with you all today.  I had read and been practicing the amygdala stimulation as revealed on Roy Harper's thread and finally got the book from the library called Frontal Lobes Supercharge and started reading it last night.  The whole idea is fascinating and it sure is spicing up my energy work.  Anyway, I was driving home today on a quiet highway and decided to do some stimulation.  I pretended I had a feather in my hand and I put it up and out in front of my forehead and pretended I pushed it inside and was stimulating the amygdalas and I was saying outloud....."Tickle, tickle, tickle" fast and I cracked myself up because I sounded like a turkey.  But then it was doing what it's suppose to do...give you happy, happy feelings even if you're only laughing at yourself. I did it some more and drove on home and went in to do my energy work.  I did a lot of the energy exercises from astral dynamics and then the feather to the amygdalas and I had lot of vibrations and other activities going on, and I may have gone out (not consciously though) because, before I realized it, an hour and a half had gone by.  Anyway, if you want to get out of a down mood or just increase a good one, tickle that brain!
