Is it true that when you astral project you can think more clearly and comprehend things much faster on the other side? Which dimension is the best for this? Thanks.

That's not the case in my experience. To me there's no difference in clarity/speed of thought than when in the physical, it's just that your thoughts have more impact in the astral.

In my experience the first few times I had OBE's they were very blurry and they only lasted a few seconds. When I started phasing everything was very clear like watching an HD screen but I still don't have that much clarity on thoughts. I always say things I want to do while phasing but I just don't remember to do it once on the other side.

The *you* you are right now is the exact same *you* that you'll be when you're projecting.
However "fast" or "smart" you are now doesn't change.

If you were to ask what the benefit of projecting is... well, for me, I lost all fear of dying.  I know where I'm going.

Ok I can see it being like that in the astral. Any thoughts on the higher realms? eg F3, F4

Focus 3 is the same.  It's *you*.
Focus 4, however, it's still *you* but all sense of individuality is apparently gone.
Frank describes it as "plugging your mind into a collection of minds"... kinda like plugging your computer into the internet.

Hmmm, sounds like the BORG from Star Trek. Maybe that's where they got the idea....

In regards to Xanth's post - The *you* you are right now is the exact same *you* that you'll be when you're projecting.

I wonder why that is. Our brain is of physical. All our life experiences go there. All the nature of our surroundings, family, friends, chemicals, ingested stuff goes there. Someone in the physical can have a learning disability or be mentally retarded.

What happens to such people in the astral? Would a dyslexic person still have dyslexia? If we are not "thinking" with our physical brains there, why would there be a limitation on our speed of comprehension there?

Say, did I just open a can of worms? :-D

The brain is simply the computer that drives the physical body and our five senses.
It also provides a filter for what we *the driver* experiences.
YOU are not anything but a connection to this physical body.  In essence, we are having a "Physical Projection", it just so happens that this is our PRIMARY projection focus at this time.

When people have a learning disability or are, as we label them, mentally retarded... their brain is damaged in some way whereby that "filter" that we use to experience this world is skewed slightly.  You require a properly functioning physical body (body includes the brain) to experience this plane.

No, you wouldn't have dyslexia.  Those that do only believe they do.
An example would be people requiring retrivals.  Some of these individuals died in massive wars... body parts blow off for example.  You can find these same people reliving their experiences with those same limbs gone.  They don't realize that they DO NOT have to be like that in the non-physical.  It's only until they're retrieved and understand where they are that they can become whole again.

The biggest non-physical can you could fine.  ROFL

OK, so using an example of somone who is mildy retarded: They are experiencing this world through a brain that is...malfunctioning. So in the Astral, no longer tied to the physical, wouldn't they be smarter - able to think and reason faster and more clearly?

I'd have to assume that's the case.
I don't know of any "mentally handicapped" individuals who project though.

Although I have no opinions on this, some observations- When I meditate I often find myself having conversations with 'someone'.  At this time, if I'm at the 'right' state, I realize this conversation is much faster than in physical reality- so I do think there is a state in which your thoughts go at a faster rate- much information is traded in probably less than a second.  I don't think this has any impact in intelligence or 'knowledge', because intelligence is a brain function measurement, and knowledge can be considered something you consciously have, and it seems much of this information is unconscious, although sometimes some of it comes up- but rarely.
So I don't know if this has much to do with your above conversation, or if it answers the OP's question, but here it is anyways.
