Hi,
The chances are you will have a Lucid Dream. If you dont have a lucid dream, you will probably feel the same. Thats what I think anyway.

For me meditation, especially with a calm surface mind, can easily account for several hours worth of regular sleep.
Meditate from 10-11PM, fall asleep and wake up 3AM thinking I've slept for ages.

Seems like a good trance could be better than the equal time in sleep. What about the need for REM periods? I guess if you could have those if you go deep enough.
I don't know anything about trance replacing sleep, but do know that if I go to sleep straight from a trance, I tend to feel really crappy in the morning...

Hi,
Just a quick Q about whether a trance meditation can replace an hour or two of sleep -
i.e. If I go into trance at normal bedtime, and stay in trance for a couple of hours, then fall into sleep - will I wake up feeling as refreshed as if I had slept the whole night?
Thanks,
Metaphysics
