Has Anyone seen Small Grid While Drifting off.

Well, I don't think I have seen "the grid", unless it's the same one I have seen with my eyes shut...I love to watch the electric pulses and "sparks" while my eyes are closed and sometimes I see a matrix in them.  Other times I see a matrix in the distant black void in my mind.

I will definetly have to do some research on the subject.  In a nutshell, what exactly did Mr. Bruce say about this "grid"?

Actually what happens is that just as I am drifting off occassionally I hear a little tap on the wall that brings me back to conscious awareness.  This causes me to open my eyes.  This is when I see the room (though dusky the moon is often good enough lighting to see details quite adequately in the room) but I see in the upper right hand side of the ceiling of my room a small 2x2 ft. window?  Not really a window but I see the grid as if there was a small window around it (no glass and no frame...just an edge to it).  Thus the grid is very organized with the little white sparkling dots in each sparkling lined square.  This is only a small portion of the room.  There is no other grid seen in any other part of the room.  The rest of the room looks very normal.  Oh well I have also seen symbols, amazing tapestries, a incredibly complex telescope once and other really neat stuff when this occurs.  Sometimes it even occurs in the middle of the night.  I just suddenly awake and see some thing that usually vaporizes within a minute or so after my conscious mind starts trying to wrap itself around what I am seeing.  I hope this better describes what I am seeing.  

Robert says each person sees it differently.  But I got the impression from his book that one had to project fully out of their body and leave ones room and travel towards the stars to reach or see the grid.  He also explained that people who have very active head and forehead chakras tend to project through tunnels and that projection this way does not enable one to see the grids in a planar fashion.  I agree with this since in my experience so far with the few projections I have been fully conscious for I have travelled through tunnels of light at great speed (the speed making it difficult to hold on to consciousness).  One has to shift consciousness in to the Moment (is the best word I guess) so things slow down so you can see them.  For me symbols in the tunnel have been more common than seeing any portal as I am traveling at high speeds.  It is more as if I must pick a symbol instead of a portal hole.  Usually I hear the thought "What would you like to learn" or "What do you seek" or "What is the most important thing to you in the world"  etc.  Once I chose a topic I go to a destination but rarely am able to retain anything more than bits and pieces from that point.  

But seeing this grid has me wondering if I was projecting occassionally a different way to see the planar grids.

You sound very lucky and gifted to see things like that.  If you want to improve your recall and awareness, I think regular meditation will help, and also, keep a dream journal.  Some pen and paper by your bed, that you can reach as soon as you wake up.  Write down some keywords, quickly, to jog your memory about what happened, then go back and fill the stuff in.

You might also try to remember to "shout" some few keywords or phrases as you re-enter your body.  Awareness and good recall comes from focus and concentration, and much practice.

A lot of times while falling asleep I see what appears to be a lot of circuitry and mechanical parts moving around. Sometimes I see paint strokes and parts of artwork (I think this is because I'm an artist) and I think those visions are just my dream mind starting to kick in. You may be seeing with etheric sight and not your actual eyes, this happens to me a lot.

Fundamentally, each Astral plane has a sort of no mans land in between, and as you approach the "surface skin" of a plane, it appears as an infinite grid of squares of whatever colour, and with a complex symmetrical pattern or shape in the centre. The back cover of Astral Dynamics is an illustration of this - amazing it is too!

But it seems to me that most people arrive actually already within a particular plane, and accordingly would not see the surface skin of the plane as it were.

In the context of the original post in this thread - I don't know. To see the surface of a plane, you would need to be approaching it from above, from a position of being in between planes.

Hi ..i had a dream may be 30 yrs ago!still remenber what i saw!.....there was a sort of ufo who was high in the sky building some sort of net made out of some sort of energy !look like silk (very white snow like puffy)but as i  fly   to the net i was surprise te feel some sort of force who just keep me away from it! it look like diamond shape snow silk materials very pretty to see !!after word i thought i was in some sort of huge prison !!

A few weeks ago I saw what would be described as a grid. At the time I did not think of it like that, more like a net but a net is like a grid right? I was trying to project and decided to ask for some help from a guide. I have never done that before but I wanted to try something new. When I was close to projecting I asked for help again. I then saw this hand move down, it looked like it was reaching down from above my head then it moved back up towards my head. I was then suddenly out of my body looking at this golden grid. It was the most beautiful golden color I have ever seen. Inside each grid there were several small lights that were different colors, red, blue, I do not remember them all right now. I was amazed at this. I have never seen anything like it before. It was very beautiful.
I have not read Mr. Bruce's book yet so I had no idea about grids. Has anyone else ever said anything about them as this is the first time I have heard about them?

Dear Fallenangel,

For sure you have to get Robert's book.  It describes the grid in great detail.  Everyone sees it differently.  Some see it in colour some see it in black an white.  I am a black and white.  You seem to be a colour person.  I see it not so much as just black and white.  It is more like dazzling light with darker body and then a point of light in the center.   The point of light (or in your case colour) in the center is the portal that lets you visit other realms (interesting places...different realities shall we say).   Keeping ones memories or even consciousness after passing through a portal is what I find most difficult.  Staying conscious and remembering the initial projection seems not to be a big deal for me.   I have only seen the grid once since I usually project through my head  and third eye chakras.  I therefore have the tunnel experience 99.99% of the time.  I enjoy projecting via tunnel because it is like the near death experience everyone describes.  Sometimes I even get the accompanying tremendous feeling of love that near deathers describe.  When you project by tunnel the portals to other realities seem to be via symbols.

It has been over a year since I have had the above experience but it is still pretty clear in my mind. Many times I have thought about trying to draw what I saw, but felt I would not be able to do it any justice. Yesterday I decided to try and see if I could come any where close to representing the grid. It turned out pretty good, though it looked better before I converted it to jpg format. I made it my avatar. It can in no way compare to what I saw. The gold was so profound, like nothing on the physical. It was just so breath taking. As I stated above at the time I knew nothing about the grid and astral entrance structures so I really did not know what to make of what I saw. So I pretty much just ... ummm ... floated (?) there staring in awe at my surroundings while trying to control my emotions, which were very strong but I was doing a decent job. So my avatar holds special meaning to me.

Also I wanted to bring this topic of the grid back up because I rarely see it talked about. Maybe people do not experience it much, but I feel it should get attention every now and then so if someone else new to it finds themself in a similar place they will know what it is and what to do about it. Of coarse it was still really nice just staring at the beautiful colors.
