Hello Ravenne,

what do you described as "panic attacks"? Before this happens, you feel some fear, anxiety overcoming you? Do you start to be shivering, shaking, jerking? Do you feel weak in your legs and need to sit down? Do you feel weak also at the same moment are feel that you are kind of afraid? Then you feel as if you almost faint? If this is the case, it is similar to what I experienced a few times long ago. It is probably due to stress, fear of something, tiredness, etc.. and this leads to some kind of momentarily nervous breakdown. It happened to me that I felt so and was about to faint. If you faint then you will begin what looks like a kind of dream or astral projection. One of the time I fainted like that, I saw a tunnel (or a well) and on the other side of it people (deceased relatives) looking down at me. It seems that you have a temporary conditions (nervousness, tired, over working? etc..) that leads you into these situations, and one of the thing that happen then is you faint or 'transit' to the world of dream/spirits, etc... It happened again recently that I woke up in the middle of the night/sleep due to some happening in my house. Because  of that I woke up but my body was still in a low metabolism state (low blood pressure) and I start having fast heartbeat and fainting. I laid down back on my bed and let go. Then I had kind of a dream, and I woke up again just moments later. I forgot all about that dream, but as I woke up I knew i just came back from some kind of a meeting with other people, etc.. and now I was back laying on my bed, sweting, etc... So each time you faint (or have a similar experience) you probably visit some place in the "other" world. I hope that helps.

Thank you Shaman that helps a heck of a lot! The cool thing is once I started to go with it, the panic attacks stopped, (yes just as you described but without the faintness I was completely aware and looking during the whole thing. I am just not sure when the transition from tunnel to place occured)but the trips didn't. You don't know how good it feels to know I am not alone in experiencing this. What is funny though is that the trip you described with the well, I had a very similar experience to that. I was looking up from the bottom of the well and people were looking down at me.
Thank you so very much for your insight:)
You have my deepest thanks,
Raven

Ravenne, the basic difference between your experiences and mines is that I "need to faint" to get there, while you do not. Actually many of my astral experiences were involontary. And what's funy is when I fainted (a few times) I did get the vibrations, the buzzing sound and the golden light before snaping out. I am glad I could help. And thanks for sharing your experience.

I know someone who is very close to me who has terrible panic attacks. It's somewhat disturbing in that she says it's like someone is chasing her, trying to kill her. I can see how this and a oobe could be linked in that your brain freaks way out so your conciseness decides to take a trip...

At any rate good luck,

I am sorry to hear about your friend, panic attacks are horrible and dibilitating[:(] If you can get her to sit in a chair, and "let it do its worst" it may help. Part of that is doing 4 breaths in, hold for four, four breaths out, hold for four. (it takes a while to get there, and then let it run through her, she may find them a) not as frightening and b)lessening. Its the hyperventilating that causes most of the attack, and all the blood rushing to vital organs. But regardless, if she can realize its not going to kill her and flow with it, it may help. Personally, I thank the Gods now for them because without them I wouldn't have had the experiences I did and continue to do. Not to say I'm not glad I don't suffer from it anymore :) I am.

I just had a dream flashback.  I often dream of a Male Presence chasing me.  These dreams are nonsexual, but very urgent, and terrifying.  The presence doesn't always look the same, but it's always male. As time has passed, I've come to realize that this Presence is trying to connect with me in some way, not to hurt me, but to get through to me somehow.

In one dream, while I was at a desk drawing something, it expressed its frustration at his inability to "put his mark on me."  Another time, I was brave enough to stop the chase scene and ask it what it wanted.  It replied "take care of me, so you may carry on with my work." (an apprenticeship?).  Last week, he was a giant, and I hid from him, realizing as I woke up, that he only wanted to be friends.

A few years ago, my female spirit guide told me that I needed to get to know "The Man."  HM, interesting.

So, maybe otherwordly approaches to our person can cause panic attacks.  Hey, it's a thought!

You are most welcome for the info :)
Tisha, as far as your dreams are concerned, it may be that you are running from an aspect of yourself. Alot of times the different representations are other aspects of the self that we either neglect, are afraid of or just don't acknowledge and they in turn manifest in our dreams as things, beings or even people we know. You might want to meditate with this mans image and see what you get from it.
Just my silly opinion, take it for what its worth:)

Hi all,
Over the past few years I have had a few strange experiences. I don't know if they are OBE or what and would appreciate any input that could be given to shed some light on this for me.
As a preface, I should tell you that for a while before these occurances i was prone to panic attacks. I am wondering now if this was spirits way of forcing the experiences. Anywho....
Fisrt Time:
I was entering into a fairly strong panic attack when I decided to go with it instead of fighting it and relaxed in a chair. I closed my eyes and began to see blue colors forming and moving behind my lids. Before long these seemed as if they were coming from behind to meet at a center point in front of me. The colors began to speed up and looked like marble. I began to have the feeling of falling rapidly backwords and even though it was very uncomfortable I stayed with it. Next thing I knew I was flying high in the air.  There were huge birds also in the sky with me, The sky itself was sort of pink and coral, I could smell the warmth in the air and I flew through the side of the cliff. I had a very intense experience, which I wont go into here, but when this ceased, which it did suddenly I could feel someone kneeling beside the chair. I had the distinct impression I was being watched over and my skin felt very tingly.
This happened a few more times, each time the tunnels were different colors, and the experiences vastly different. An example is I was laying down and began to fall backward through a white tunnel and emerged in water, another time it waspurple and I shot up into space coming back down almost instantly. I have been searching for a while to figure out what exactly I was experiencing so if anyone could please give any insight it would be deeply appreciated.
Thanks for taking the time to read this :)
