Energetic Astral Projection

As I interacted with several people on online spiritual related forums, I noticed my approach towards astral projection is quite different. I am uncertain if this is generally so for I have done no actual textual research, all I have is my own experience, which is how I like it. I decided to share how I experience this fenonama. Please forgive me for any potential spelling errors, as English is not my native language.

The writing moslty describes the symptoms that take place, with a few methods to approach these symptoms. How ever, according to my perception, the source of it all can be merely experienced.

Let me start off by eleborating my view on astral projection. Realize that this is my approach towards this fenonama, and am there for not saying that a different approach is false or unreal. I name my approach Energetic Astral Projection (EAP).

Astral projection is not leaving the body. It is expanding the consciousness beyond the body. As I astrally project, I but merely project the energy outside my self, using the energy as my senses. It is an energetic projection of Self. I believe also that many times what in the online communities is refered to as "OBE" is not actualy happening outside the body, it is but merely an energetic projection accuring beyond the body, but infact your soul is still inside the body. How ever, I wish not to devote this writing to the reality of an OBE, but to how I approach and experience astral projection (AP).

I start out by centering my consciousness inside my center, to get in touch with my vibration frequency. I use the energy which is around me to get me into trance, as I use it to guide me closer to my center and calming the mind, so that I have a good balance between both spirit and consciousmind, which aids me in being more in touch with my inner senses, yet experiencing it mentaly conscious.

As I split my consciousness, as mentioned trough the energetic approach, but how ever also trough breathing towards my belly, I get in touch with my center and there for also my inner senses. Trough feeling, trust and will (not to confuse will with forcing...) I freely guide my energy from my center outside my body. I recommend not to use visualization to induce this feeling, for it is the feeling that will create the vision of your surroundings. Visualization, in this case, will but only get you stuck in your mind, while surrendering to your inner senses is the most important aspect of this AP approach. Patience and trust are of great importance. Surrendering to your inner senses takes a bit of time, it takes time to "tune in".

To enhance our awareness of our inner senses, we remain in the trance state, and start sensing our body from the inside. We sense the energy that fills our entire body. Do not question "how", for only trusting and surrendering to your inner senses will let you experience this. In this case there is no "how", there is only "doing", for we are giving up the mind, and "how" is but merely a mental issue. "Doing" is for spirit. Realize and accept that not all questions can be answered with mental knowledge, many times, as in this case, you can but merely be the answer. Which is why, again, trust is such a big key.

Now that you are in quite an energetic aware state, start sensing your surroundings. Feel your environment, realize the emptiness between form, feel one with it trough your center. Trough your center, let the surroundings become your center. I recommend this for short distance AP's, for then when making an energetic projection, you are still moving inside your self, which makes it ofcourse easier to be aware of and as your projection. Besides I find this process advisable for it will higher your awareness and connection with the inner senses.

Now to get back to the actual projecting. From the state of the energetic awareness, feel from your center comming an energetic pulsation, as if you are making a physical move, but not really moving your body. Again, "how" plays but hardly a role here, "doing" in trust is what one must apply. Once believed to have gained no result, many times one gains frustration and get's stuck in the mind, and starts forcing a projection. Compare such a thing as astral projection with archery, if you do not let go of the arrow, no action shall take place. If you force the arrow forward trough muscle, no desired result shall take place. How ever, if you but merely stretch the rope of the bow, and let it go in peace and inner stillness, the desired result will be. The relation between energy and mind is the same. To will, and let go. Continuously willing will make one blind for what is actualy happening. One would be so focused on what one expects to happen, that one does not notice what is actualy happening.

If the frustration comes in, just let it be, just accept it. Do not interfere with it for it will but merely result in you keeping it alive, holding it, instead of letting it flow away. Once the potential frustration, or any other emotion distracting you from your concentration, has been let go off, it is time to start listening to your energetic projection. Do not listen to what may come to your mind, but merely listen to what says your center. For the center is receiving the vibrations comming from the projection. It shall how ever be translated in a way towards your mind, trough the crownchakra if I am not mistaking, how ever, "how" is not of great importance, "how" will simpely reveal it self to you.

The vibrations which are being picked up trough your projection shall be translated to vision, if in touch enough with the inner senses, a friend of mine can even sense the vibrations of smell and sound trough his projection. This can be extremley clear, even be experienced as a higher way of perceiving reality, how ever depending on how high your vibration frequency is.

I would now like to go a step 'further', to make one very consicous of his projection. I call this state personaly "Beyond Body Consciousness (BBC)", how ever, this state is seemingly refered to as "OBE" by the general public. I call it 'BBC' because the body remains in a state of sleep, while performing the EAP. Perform the EAP as described earlier, recommended when one goes to bed, or meditation when one is quite advanced in reaching deep state of consciousness.

Perform the EAP, and simpely fall asleep in this state. For me, many times when falling in the sleep state, I tend to become aware of the EAP instead of starting to dream. Now that the consciousmind is way more eased and stilled then it was before in the regular EAP (where you where still awake) you are much more conscious as the projection.

Either you remain clearly conscious as the projection, or it starts mingeling with a dream. Creating great oppertunities for lucid dreaming.

How do stop the EAP? Realize that you have never actualy left the body, but merely extended your consciousness/awareness. There for simpely concentrate your projection towards your center, and simpely let the consciousmind, if you prefer, to again take control more activley.

Benefits and other use one can put to this approach:
• Spiritual communication
• Induce trance
• Healing
• Sensing people
• Remote viewing
• Being mentaly awake while performing the projection, giving oppertunities to share the experience with spiritualy skilled friends consciously
• If one's awarenss is great, one can make multiple projections, it's an unlimited way of expanding and evolving the awareness/consciousness
• What ever can be done with and trough energy

I hope this described the way I experience astral projection clearly enough.

Take care,

As is the sword to samurai, is the body to soul. Both are but merely an extension of Self. How ever, only in union it will reach it's full potential.

Very cool.

Never thought of the falling asleep while in deep as to what happens, but yes, you're right, you can then travel in a way very different from regular dreaming.

Hey! Great post.

I like how you describe AP. A difference I have, is I tend not to will from any point in particular in my "body" but just hold an intent in my mind and go.

Kenshi Jop

"Will" might indeed not have been the right choice to describe what I meant. The thing I do is, I just do. 'Intent' would have indeed been a better word.

Nice to meet you Kenshi Jop! It seems there are a few of us here who travel this way. I'm having the most amazing fun and wonder with it. Hope you are to.

Hey Kenshi!

You're way of describing your experiences is very good and clear, i like the way you write down what you actually experience and feel. It is also nice to have someone here that actually has somewhat the same viewpoint as me

What you describe as EAP is indeed what happens (of course as seen through your eyes), when we expand consciousness beyond its 'normal' confines, using energy to sense remote locations, persons, spirits etc. This can be done from either wake (like from trance) or from a LD. I want to add here that the translation of the information goes through your subconscious self (you call it center). In a LD this causes dream images and remote information to be mixed together into a reality that is often referred to here as 'the astral'. You also mention as one of the advantages that one can make multiple projections. This is a kind of glimpse we get at what awaits us when we expand our consciousness even more, to include everything from our surroundings to the entire universe...

Thanks for sharing your experiences Kenshi  :)
