Had a sort of funny experience the other night...

My husband has always had trouble getting out. (Or if he does, he gets so excited
he goes right back !) So I said I'd try to help, though I was'nt sure just what to do...

So I get out, and I am in the bedroom, standing over the bed calling to him...no response.
So I grabbed his arm and started to pull ! Just got his arm out, but nothing else.
I pulled and tugged and tried so hard, but it didn't work. I stopped trying, and just sort of ended up back in
my body and awake. When we woke up in the morning, I told him about it, but he didn't remember
anything.
Haven't tried again...any ideas on how to help ?

You probably will not like my answer.    I think your husband should get out by himself.    He knows he has to control his excitement.   With practice he will get there.    I think it would be difficult for you to try and pull your husband out as it would be easy for something to go wrong.
When you try to pull your husband out, your husband could already be out somewhere.    You could be imagining your husband's arm or leg.   If it does not work, you are likely to get frustrated and that will return you back into your body again.   I am only guessing.   Your husband may be in his body and other problems can happen.   As I said, it would be a lot easier for him to get out by himself.

You have to be weary of stuff like this.
You could be pulling out your idea/concept of him.
Alternatively if it really was him (which in my mind, probably not so much), then you also have to worry about a struggling tug of war with his consciousness.  The incumbent (your husband) will probably win that fight.

Yikes !  :-o  I never thought of it like that !
Thanks you guys....I won't do that again....

He knows he needs to get out on his own really...just not having much
luck. But then...he doesn't have a lot of patience with it either...
He'll try once, then give up.

But I'll leave it up to him from now on, thats for sure !

Another possibility could be, that it is not possible to do that. Because it all happens in your mind.
But this is another story.. :)

I just remembered this similar experience of a projector trying to get his friend out reported on the Pulse. By help of my collection website I found a few more of interactions between (obvious) dreamers or people in half-sleep/trance (with astral vision, hearing or tactile awarness) and 'visiting / practicing APers':

Indeed for this one here there was an effect, although not the one hoped for by the APer.

QuoteI was taking a nap in a lodge that some friends and I were staying in. I projected and I floated over my friend who was napping in a bed beside mine. I grabbed my friend by the wrist feeling solid matter. I began to pull, hoping I could get him to astral project (bizarre, yes). I saw his spiritual arm coming out of his physical arm. It was yanked out of my hands and shot back into his physical arm. I saw his eyes jump open and he sat up really fast, looking scared. Instantly I was awoken by my friend making noise next to me. I looked over and he was sitting up. I asked him what happened and he said something along the lines of "dude, I just randomly jerked awake because of a falling sensation. My arm is completely numb right now." I was so shocked and excited by what just happened. I no doubt woke up my friend by grabbing his astral body. I didn't tell him what happened, I just pretended to be interested in a different way than i actually was.

So you could wake him up instead.

Here's another one of one who remembers the visitor (APer):

QuoteOne other time was when I wanted to visit this same friend at night during an astral travel.  I remember hovering over his bed, but him just seeming to sleep, not responding.  The next day I told him what I did.  He said "that was you!!!  Don't do that again, you scared the cr*p out of me, I thought you were a ghost!!!"

He he, I didn't bother him or anyone after that.

Here's another one:

QuoteAround 3:30 am on 3/4/12, my girlfriend was awakened after feeling my body go into a state of vibrations. She felt my heart beat racing also. Then she said the vibrations stopped, and she heard me stop breathing without a noticeable heartbeat. She said a few seconds later she saw a white image of me at my bedroom doorway. The she heard me making a knocking sound on the dresser in the bedroom. She then got scared and pulled the covers over her face. She doesn't know anything about out of body experiences or vibrations. She has never had an OBE either.

And another one (by CFT btw!) in the same thread:

QuoteMy husband has woken to see me floating next to him, and has felt my vibes also- but I think he was in trance, and was viewing it clairvoyantly.

Here's one from another forum:

QuoteDuring one OBE, as I came back through the roof of my apartment I saw my wife and self asleep in the bed. At that moment, my wife awoke, looked up and screamed. I reached down and touched her face before integrating in my physical body and woke up. My wife turned to me and said "I just saw a ghost come through the ceiling. It touched me and I knew it was you.

A similar one, same thread one post below it:

QuoteI saw my hubby OB. I reacted fearfully because I thought a naked man (he sleeps naked) was running into our bedroom. I pulled him protectively to me and saw, to my amazement, his etheric double slide back into his body.

Last not least, this seems to be one where the picking up among two APers seemed to work:

http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/welcome_to_permanent_astral_topics/validation_thread-t25607.0.html;msg242194#msg242194

QuoteI've had several validations.  But the most validating was the one in which my ex showed up in my OBE.  He has these experiences also, only his are more progressed.  He told me he was going to come and join me sometime.  And he did!  A few days after he appeared in my OBE, my ex came over to my house and asked me if I had seen him.  I told him, "I knew that shadowy figure on the stairs was you!"  I had recognized his silhouette----especially that of his hair!  My ex even told me that at one time when I flew past him that my and his heads had collided.  This had happened when I decided to fly through him instead of past him the second time around.  I flew through him from his neck up.  This is when he and I collided heads!

(...)

Another time my ex came over, and as he and I stood outside talking, he nodded toward the direction underneath my upstairs bedroom window and asked me if, a few days earlier, I had traveled out my bedroom window just underneath the spot where he had motioned his head.  Again, I was excited but not shocked to learn that he had seen me.  I told him I had done that very thing because I wanted to scare the neighbor's dog that was always barking and annoying me.

These - and many more like this - are also listed here in my list of validations:

I think I tried it because I recall reading in a Richard Bach book where his wife pulled him
out after she got out herself....

I'm sure it can happen, (especially after reading another thread on here about it...)
But its not something I'll try again !
