Question about lucidology!

Hi all,
I've been watching Nicholas Newport's Lucidology 101 and have a question about the Stop, Drop and Roll method. He states that the urge to roll over is the body test to see if the mind is asleep.  If you roll over the body knows the mind isn't asleep and the body stays awake and does not enter sleep paralysis. But then he goes on to say that after you're completely relaxed and so on and feel the body's urge to roll over, do so and you should fall asleep...
It's kind of confusing. I want to try the stop, drop and roll technique to OBE. Can anyone tell me what to do? Roll over don't roll over...what? Thanks. XD PEACE

He is talking about not moving while the body is sending signals for you to move or scratch itches.  If you are primed though, you should easily resist those urges.  A nap or sleep before you decide to induce an OOBE usually does the job.

You only roll over and out when the body has already entered sleep paralysis.  By this stage, you are moving your phantom body rather than your physical one.  The physical one can't move because it has become atonic.

Its been ages since I watched the lucidology thing but I think the movements are just to make everything seem normal so you body thinks its safe to fall asleep.

So you lie on your back with your hands above your head and get as relaxed as you can. When you get a rollover signal you put your hands by your sides. Once you're more relaxed you then roll onto your side. You then have to resist any rollover signals. Since you responded to the first two your body wont think theres any trickery going on and will go to sleep.

Personally I was really put of by lucidology because of how commercialised it seemed. It sounded like watching the informercial channels on cable. "You can have your first OBE tonight!!!!"  just send me money and everything will be great!!!! Register now!! Wow! You need this!! woo hoo!!

Maybe its because im british and really dont buy into how commercialised the U.S is.

Yes, he has some good points, but I know exactly where you are coming from.  He does make it sound like you need his product.
