for the second time now, i woke up today after trying a WBTB WILD and i guess i was coming out of a little dream sequence or something. i felt the hardest vibrations imaginable. it felt like my body was beaing torn from existance from the inside out. it was "painful" to say the least. i stuck with it until 3 full sets came. each set lasted about 8 seconds. each one started out with a ringing in my head getting louder until they just overcame me. after the last set, i got up and did some RCs. well i guess it didnt work cuz i was really awake.

this is what i did. i went to bed at 6 AM. (yes AM). i was woken up by some bastard jehovas witnesses at 10 AM. i was too ticked to fall back asleep so i stayed up for a few hours then tried WILD. after my awareness moved, i came out of an HI dream or something. then the vibrations.

my question is this: if i would have waited there for another set or so, would i have gone into an OBE/LD? it is kind of weird that i felt them that strong again. Im not sure why i felt them today when i normally dont.

I think that if you can stay calm, keep an open mind, and try not to think about it, you would have a good chance. However, I understand through my own experiences that it's hard NOT to be overwhelmed by the vibrations at first. I went through a phase where I felt them intensely everyday for about a week. One night during this week it actually brought me into an OBE, and now they don't freak me out at all. I get into a confident "let's do this" mode.

Last night was the first time I ever felt any pain associate with it.  I was doing my Monroe CD and drifted off for a second, and when I came to, I was about 5 or 6 inches over my body and was violently "snapped" back with a loud cracking sound. My whole body was vibrating with a sharp pain that went down the right side of my neck into my right shoulder. It faded after about 30 or 45 seconds. I don't know if it's associated, but I felt like crap when I woke up this morning (and still do).

now thats something to fear... wow

i tried WILD lastnight and got in trance in no time. then a nice mild set of vibrations came over me. they got stronger and died after about 8 seconds. i was so excited that they came. it felt so cool. i felt really heavy but no SP. weird i guess.  hmmmm so i laid there and nothing happened. man i was ticked. i tried rope and other techs and nothing worked. o well maybe its harder then i thought.

I can suggest something that might be causing these problems. First off, I know it sucks, but you just need more time to really digest what's happening. AKA, practice makes perfect.

Secondly, stop trying techniques. They're useful only if you understand what they are for. In fact, everyone can learn something from this:

Rope, pulling, rolling over, sucked out, there's a ton of different techniques. Does this mean that an invisible rope is pulling you out? No, not really. There's a science behind the techniques that all roll up in to one idea. Keep your brain believing something's happening.

One major thing that happens just before a phasing/obe experience is the sense of movement can be imagined. I spin myself around in circles, it's fun. The feelings can be very real. So, while your eyes haven't quite kicked in, we find other ways of pretending to ourselves something's happening. This is the key. Keep your brain fooled.

So, what can go wrong here? Your biggest problem could be you EXPECT to feel your arms actually lift up like real arms, and pull you out. It's not going to happen anytime soon. The key is to as vividly as possible imagine it happening. Visualise it. See your room around you, grab on to that big fat rope, and pull. Pretend you feel it, too. Think to yourself, "Hey, I can feel a tension in my arms" and the tension will appear where your arms would be if you were holding them up. As you pretend you feel yourself pulling out, you will start to feel yourself pulling out. It's thought that fuels your struggle, so use it.

Although, just be careful as you might just tense up your real arms. You just have to relax and jump right back in to it.

PS: PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE
As it as written, now and forever shall be. In the name of the Stevo, amen.

Anger is not helpful. Relax, and whatever happens - even if it's nothing - accept it.

let me know if you guys have experienced this before...

when i was doing that WILD lastnight, a little bit after the first set of vibes came, the inner parts of my elbows/arms started to HURT. it got worse until i had no choice but to curl up my arms and try again. what is this? ill keep trying. how many sets of vibes are there usually? thanks

I get itches and pains sometimes that seem to mess with my concentration. I think it's because I'm settling down and slowly shutting off my outside environment. The only thing left for the brain to focus on "outside" is your body, so minor irritations that are usually not noticed are the only things you perceive. I scratch when it's too much, but if I keep going, these things always go away. If I make it to focus 10, body irritations seem impossible to have.

I wouldn't worry about the vibrations. Keep your focus on "noticing" exercises, or a mental run-down. Even if you feel vibes. It seems to me that it's when you focus AWAY from them that they get intense. Also, something like ROPE seems to work good if you start with it at the beginning of your exercise. If you feel any vibes while doing it, don't focus on them and put all of your attention on the rope. But if you wait and start doing rope later into it, it's probably not going to help any.
