Is is possible to have an uncontroled and unintentional OOBE experience when you fall asleep? This question is much related to my first topic: http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/welcome_to_out_of_body_experiences/how_do_you_feel_an_oobe-t44491.0.html. I often have a "feeling" that while I fall asleep something is happening to my mind and it, by his own, begins to wander around that other world, seeing, experiencing things, intelligence and collecting information.

While your physical body sleeps, your consciousness is always active. It just shifts from this physical reality to another one.

Many people first experience AP uncontrolled and unintentionally. This usually occurs from the state of Sleep Paralysis or an NDE (Near Dearth Experience).

Yes, and you do this each and every night of your life.  It's what most humans incorrectly call 'dreaming'.  :)

I heared this theory before. Then, what is the difference between lucid dream and controled astral projection?

Not a whole hell of a lot.

In how MOST people use the two terms... nothing.

In how *I* use the two terms... awareness.

I wouldn't consider it "uncontrolled" unless your brain is wired to be random like that, which is possible. However, "uncontrolled" can be confused with not having any expectations and not planning on projecting, and then having an out of body experience. Sometimes you go to bed, not asking, or wanting to have an OOBE, and it just happens regardless. This shouldn't be regarded as random or uncontrolled/unintentional, though. Maybe it is consciously unintentional, but subconsciously, theoretically speaking, having no expectations and a mind that is clear and not thinking too hard about it, is the perfect state of mind to have in order to successfully have an OOBE and remember it. This is just my experience. Keep in mind that it is different for everyone, but I find that this is how things work the best for me.

Thank you. All best to all of you!

And now you understand why "language" is hopelessly inadequate in describing this Projection-thing we do.
We all use words... yet we all don't use the same words in the same way.

Yup :P The best thing we can do is try to share the meaning of a phrase with someone XD

And I can tell you from personal experience that even that sometimes doesn't help.  ;)
