What you describe is very typical. This happened to me also one time before I really knew anything aout astral projection. It really isn't your heart beating at a mile a minute, it's your heart chakra that is opening up and vibrating. I know it is scary at first, but you have to try to relax and let the vibrations spread through your body. The way I look at it, it's kinda like chargeing up your energy body to prepare it for seperation. I only stopped cause I was feeling sick and I was calm but it didn't feel like it was going anywhere. I kind of guessed what the vibrations were but it felt like my heart. I could say I was a sceptic of all this recent things have changed my mind. As for those chakra things, I basically have no idea what they are though those vibrations weren't going anywhere as I said before.
One of my friends are trying it for the first time too and I've given her the basic guidelines I've been using and last night she felt a swinging sensation that I kind of guessed was her going in and out though she felt no vibrations.
I've beent trying for almost a month and want to know if there's anything I can do to help me to actually do it because the first time I actually thought it was happening, something I couldn't fight against pulled me back.
I hope you can give me some advice and maybe some advice for my started friend. Also, is it possible for like, three people who can project to meet up and kind of 'travel' together or won't you be able to see them?

yea id have to agree with GRRegis its a very comon sensation and i didnt do enough research to realize what was happening it freaked me out [:D] buit i recovered but the feeling weird the next day happened to me too i dont know if that happens to everyone but i know it happenes to a lot of beginners lilke myself but i have some web pages on instructions

Hi, i'm under 18 and am starting to practice astral projection aswell. My guess at what happened to you is that it was a succesful attempt and you did leave your body, but somehow your double drained all of the energy out of you that night. That's why i think you were tired or drained in the morning. Good luck in the future, keep posted!
Thanks! It's great to know there's others who are younger. This forum isn't as full of people as I would have thought it to be (under 18s that is) so maybe we're a bunch of rare ones or something.
I'm going okay though. Never had a repeat of that first time save a spontaneous one the other night when I was trying a sleep deprevation technique. Keep me posted on how you're going too!

Im only 13 and have been at it for 6 months. I really think age doesnt matter. Patience, practice, and will is what will get you there. Trust me, youre gonna need a lot of patience and will for this to work, but it aint as hard as it sounds. Its only as hard as you make it.

If it matters, I was 18 when I started practising AP. Ahh those were days, I feel so old now.
I'm sorry, but you must be 18 or older to project. If you are not, once you have succeeded in seperation, the astral bouncer will ask for a valid picture id. Otherwise, you must be accompanied by your legal guardian. [:P]
This does actually bring up an interesting point, how age relates to the experience.
I recommend hypnosis to help you OBE
From what I've heard, the younger you are, the easier it is to project. And obviously you get more practise during your lifetime and end up becoming masters of the field(eg. Robert Bruce).
Who said you have to be over 18? I had a spontaneous OBE/AP once and I was pretty much conscious but I went back myself because I was caught of guard.
I think you can do it, whatever age, as long as you understand what's going on and as long as the intention is pure and there steadfast in your mind so much so as nothing can sway you. Gee, here I am giving you guys all advice when I haven't even been 100% successful. Aww well[:P] Sharing experiences helps others. I've been trying for a while but I never seem to get anything right all the way. It half occured once and I could desribe it as one of the best feelings in the world but I tried the other night and something odd happened.
I was lying in my bed, totally numb and then my heart started to beat like a marathon in my chest and it was so loud I could hear it. I had all this adrenaline rushing through me to the point where I felt sick and had to stop though nothing happened. I ahd to get up and I was all stiff and the next morning I felt all tired and detached. I tried again the next night and only went numb.
I really want to know what's going on and I need advice on actually getting it!
Oh, yeah. If you're under 18, and are like a first timer or something, you can post here to though I have like nil experience so don't ask me anything. I only know a bit.
