I was wondering what these vibrations feel like for all of you?
My experience is that when i close my eyes and begin to relax i feel like i am bouncing in and out of my third eye area. It feels literally as if one were to take a video camera and zoom in and out really fast. I have compared this to vertigo but its not like it is an uncomfortable feeling, i dont feel sick, and when i open my eyes i feel normal. Is this something that anyone else experiences, or is it more likely something a doctor should check out?
How much longer must you remain in this dream before you finally figure out if you're insane or a genius?

Have you had a conscious OBE yet? Just asking, because there are many different feelings in different stages before the actual OBE.. the feeling often referred as the vibrations, being one of the last ones (perhaps the last, at least for me), of the bunch.. so maybe your 'vibrations' are third eye chakra related feeling. I'm not saying that it can't be a vibration, maybe just not the vibrations of which you often will hear from people.

After many other energy feelings, I get the exit related vibrations, they felt at first like a high voltage cable is stuck in the middle of your chest.. and the electric shock shoots through your whole body. (not painful by any means, just very very powerful, I jumped right up from laying down the first time I got those.. although I was familiar with different energy feelings at that time) You'll actually hear a sound at the same time, it's like a low toned humming sound. Of course the feelings and how people describe these vary some... and as my energy body has developed or I've gotten used to these vibrations (or both), they don't feel as intense anymore, but still it's like the whole of your body is vibrating everywhere at the same time. The vibrations and the accompanying sound seems to intensify in cycles.

But well, they are quite hard to explain. Afterall, it is a new kind of experience, no-one could've explained it to me so that I'd know how it feels before I experienced it myself.. although the explanations would've made sense the moment I'd finally get the feeling.

For me the vibrations during my first few projections were the most intense ever. It was like a powerfull electric current and was so strong sometimes it felt like it could actually damage my physical body. That was a few years back and although I still feel them, they're much milder these days. I'm not sure why that should be,  but perhaps there is a natural loosening of the energy body with continued practice, so the transition is felt less intensely.

What do the vibrations feel like?
Let's see if I can describe it...

Lie down, take a palm sander and place it on your chest and turn it on.  Now imagine that feeling *EVERYWHERE* on your body.  That's what it feels like.  :)
(Obviously, please don't really do this.  LoL)

The vibrations I experience are almost always centered in my head, and upper spine. I usually almost never experience it elsewhere in my body. When they happen I am usually out within seconds. It feels like a powerful electrical current. First pulsating then steady. When they get at their strongest and I'm in the process of moving out, the feeling of electrical current transforms into a feeling of going down a very very large hill in a roller coaster (not always). Sometimes the electrical current stops and I feel a slow movement, like an up and over movement. When this happens I usually end up in the same room with my physical body. They vary in intensity but during the times I successfully get out they are really strong right before I get out.

Hee hee.
When I used to experience them, they could go from buzzy electric (like a vibrator) but when the heart chakra was involved, it was more like a  lawn mower on my chest.   :-D

Excellent post, not much else I can add to that hah.

Vibra

Absolutely the most intense feeling of well Vibrations Scared the crap out of me until I learned what they were. I very rarely get them now and have not been to the same intensity for years. Warm slight buzz is all now. I do miss them in a strange sort of way. Think of a jack hammer
Vibra

Stookie

I'm thinking that our perception of them changes. When I first started getting vibes, it felt as though chainsaw engines were strapped to body & limbs - very intense and spooky. As I got more used to them, I started feeling them out and while they were the same vibes, the feeling of them wasn't so much electric-shock. Now the feeling during separation (the vibes) I can only describe as a sort of a quick suction feeling (not really but it's the best physical description I can think of) combined with a sound that isn't really a sound, but if it were a sound it would go something like "whirrrrisshhhhhggggggeeeeeeeee" with quick bass pulsing in it. Lasts about 1 to 2 seconds, sometimes quicker.

Wow, I've never felt anything like that. Well, except after doing breathing exercises for a few minutes, but that is just my body getting all tingly from all the oxygen, you know, like hyperventilating lol. I keep trying to project, but I just can't.

I don't really feel the "vibrations." Instead it's more like a rotating or whirling sensation for a while, eventually followed by a loud cracking sort of sound as if someone were ripping a poster off a wall, then a quick suction like Stookie described.

Ditto.  Which is why I started my sentence with "When I used to experience them".

Hi Everyone,

I've had many different OBE along with it's symptoms of hallucinations-seeing lights/hearing sounds/feelings of panic and weird vibrations.  I have experienced mostly all of what you have posted.  But the vibrations tend to freak me out the most.  I have had intense ones and milder ones.  But I have noticed that you can control the intensity by conscious, deep breathing.  The first few times I felt these vibrations were during epidodes of sleep paralysis.  I started to panic and the vibrations would become more intense (just as some of you have described) as I tried to breakout from the sleep trance/sleep paralysis attack.  But I found that if you consciously breath deeply, the vibrations become more like a consistent current of energy/electricity in strength & you feel that you can control them and not the other way round!  It was amazing. This feeling of controling the vibrations through breathing, bought me more time to experience OBEs. You should try it the next time you have them.

But I have been more interested in these vibrations in relation to Kundalini awakening...I can't seem to find good references.

I don't know that there are any- I've read Kundalini described in many ways, (electricity, fire, heat, cold, water) and in terms of consciousness, but I've never heard of it described in terms of vibrations.  I know two people who raised Kundalini, and neither of them experienced it in terms of vibrations either.

Here is a site that suggests aspects of Kundilini compared to vibrations as felt in OBE type expereinces.

Have you ever seen it when a vibration is added to water and the water dances and splashes up, and the more the vibration the more the water dances. For me the whole vibration thing is a bit like that, and at times are quite amazing.

Hi Friends,

I am new to the forums. I have experienced probably vibrations in my third projection attempt,
but I am not sure because what I experienced was violent shaking.

Let me write the experience, I would really appreciate your feedback.

i lied down and got under a linen sheet my head outside.
i relaxed. i took deep breaths and emptied my mind. (tried to)
tried the rope technique to astral project. in my mind i tried to climb to the ceiling with
an invisible rope.
my vision was dark but it became closer and widened. perhaps 360 degrees but not sure.
my body started to shake and i felt a twirling sensation in my lower abdomen. like tiny gaseous activities in the abdomen.
my breathing was very quick. sometimes deep.
my body shaked and shaked and i tried to maintain my intent and climbing effort, but no visualization at this point, like invisible hands constantly grasping for invisible rope)
i was not afraid although this was the first time i felt these sensations, because i had read it was not dangerous.
they went on for a good amount of time. like more than 3 minutes.
but i thought that they would go on for a very long time and i wasn't perhaps achieving.
i also requested help with the sentence, 'can you help me?' in my mind.
then my body violently shaking, i decided to abandon the effort.
right after i abandoned the effort, i shaked uncontrollably and violently, shivered is the word
for 3 minutes, also felt strange in the chest. i stayed curled up sideways shaking.
i was still very mildly afraid, but calm. then suddenly the shaking subsided.i felt OK afterwards,
but cold and weak during the shaking.
overall the experience was a little unpleasant and unsettling, but it promised progress.
i just had to ask someone experienced if these sensations are OK, because, I really shook violently and shivered continuously
during and after the attempt.

Thanks.

Currently, my vibrations start in the base of my skull, and then hit the top of my head before spreading down over the rest of my body.  In the past, they were a lot more intense in my lower abdomen, and at times I have felt nauseated when the experience was over.

Thanks for the article,  ancient_one.

Kundalini Article states:
Quote
Vector between 0 and 90 degrees to the vertical axis (more or less transversal waves): Kundalini motion in the form of waves moving upwards at the backside. This most common form of kundalini arousal is accompanied by acoustic perceptions, sensed heat adjacent to the spine, very strong energy flow, euphorization, inner light perception (mostly in gold and white) and is sometimes accompanied by paranormal effects.

I am going to guess that by 'Kundalini arousal' they mean pre-K symptoms, because I get those pretty often (and the others too, btw) but have never had a full serpent raising, with any of the classic characteristics.  Maybe they are what happens when you do enough energy work.

hey all,
I first experienced these vibrations 10 years ago. To cut a long story short I was quite scared at the time and didn't want to go to sleep and was laying on my side in my bed facing the wall, when I felt a very calming presence standing next to me. I rolled over and held out my hand and this presence held mine and passed what felt like a burning hot current into the palm of my hand which radiated to every inch of my body in a wave like motion. Surprisingly at the time I wasn't scared but felt peace and ever since then I have had experienced vibrations and I can still feel that hand in mine. The vibrations are so strong and powerful, i feel stuck to the bed. The buzzing noise I get in my ears and head is almost deafening at times. It used to (and still does sometimes) freak me out just by the sheer intensity of it. I know as soon as my head hits the pillow if its going to happen to me, and sometimes I'm like "oh no not tonight please I just want to sleep" so I force myself to wake up. I have noticed though, that when I don't want it to happen I see dark images, that make me feel uneasy, but if i go with the flow I have awesome experiences. I have been able to see and speak with some of my family members who have passed over and been able to seek guidance from them in my life. Its great that I have found this site and be able to hear other peoples experiences! I hope this was of some help.
