Hey guys, its just me. I recently constructed a VPR box (read about it in astral dynamics) but haven't used it yet due to my lack of projection frequency. Anyone else here ever used one? It seems like an awesome idea, but I have no real world (ha ha... pardon the pun) experience with it.

no, but its hard to explain. Do you have astral dynamics by robert bruce? If not you can always go to barnes and nobles and look up the VPR section and there is a diagram and a great description. I could try to explain but im not good at explaining things without visual aids. :lol:
I never saw the need for the box. Why not just use a poster on the wall??
it is built with a light inside and a mirror opposite the picture so when I project at night I can go there and it is bright inside with a great place to go to, the mirror adds a bit of dimension to the picture, making it look more like a window.
Thats funny. I was just reading that section in Astral Dynamics earlier today.. the VPR box thing. I was thinking of making one but I am not sure what I should use. Did you use a shoe box or ... ? Whenever you try it out do tell how it worked out. I want to use it so I can get to the astral planes. What about you?
oh...like sort of like those 3d viewer things we had as kids?
i guess you could use a shoe box, i used a longer narrower box, not sure where it came from, its labelled "rear deflector kit", I always laugh every time I read it, it makes me think of star wars or something. Yes manuel, alot like a 3d viewer, but the box i use is kind of long and the mirror is sort of small, so it doesnt work quiet as well, but I can only imagine how cool it would look OOB! I even have multiple pictures I can swap out of various landscapes and such, I have them tacked with poster putty along the unused walls of the box, I figure if I get it to work, I can use the one i put up or if I want I can even pick and choose if I want. I would recommend anyone that can project regularely to try it, but I havent gotten out of my body consciously since I constructed it. :(
