Hey everyone. I had 3 Obes last night. For the first time ever I learned how to go places simply by thought. In the past I had a hard time doing this. I even asked to go to an alien like place and had a conversation with alien like beings. They were kind of like greys people speak of but aslo had an animal like form. Recall is horrible so I don't remember the conversation but they were very nice. The one I remember most was visiting my gf. She was asleep at the time of the OBE. I went out in my yard and thought about her and going there. Boom... The vision in front of me disappeared and it went black. Her room slowly started to appear. It didn't resemble her room... But I blew this off. It did in ways.... When I got there she opened her eyes and looked groggy as hell. She smiled at me and I told her to try and remember this moment. I kissed her and we even talked for a minute. I got back to my physical after I flew off and texted her. No reply in the mornings... She was out like I light. I asked her if she dreamed of me and she didn't. Maybe she just was clueless and didn't remember her dreams... I tried really hard but I think she was in dream mode when I visited. She had the zombie look lol. Can any of you relate to events like this?
Hi, I've also OBEd and gone to see the girlfriend at the time a few times, and even had interractions. But on each occasion she has no memory of the event. I also got some details of her room completely wrong.
My experiences (and yours with the looks of it) would be a field day for the sceptics for OBE I'm afraid!
In Monroe's books he also talks about talking to people, even while they are awake, and makes the conclusion that he talked to their subconscious or an aspect of their (higher) self, because they normally did not remember anything of the conversation. This is normal. It might however be that a person suddenly thinks of you when you try to contact them in astral state.
I think meeting people in dream states is rather the same, most of the times. We only do remember a tiny tiny fraction of our dreams, right? So it is only natural.
On my validations page I do have examples however of APers meeting dreamers and they remembered then (oftentimes it's relatives and friends, maybe that has an impact too on an emotional level).
I once met my mother in AP state and told her during the projection a word to remember as a code to give me in waking state. To this very day I have not asked her of that word (or asked of her to make up any word that occurs to her and see what comes up). Maybe I should do the test but I doubt it will work and she will come up with the right code word.
Don't make validation the point of every OOBE. The validations will come and you can force them sometimes but it's more mind blowing when they just occur.
It can take weeks before you even realize that one of your experiences has been validated.
There is so much subjective junk that you will have to work through so just make awareness and memory a goal in the beginning. :-)
Just project and have fun.
Log your adventures, then analyze them at a much later date. :)

It is possible you got the correct details of her bedroom. I read in a book the same thing happened to this person. She was disappointed and later on she realised that she got it right as it was in the future.
I wouldn't feel disappointed if she doesn't remember. Actually that's natural and normal. You just became part of her dreams. Which a regular person forgets the moment they awake.
You most probably just created an image of her room and your girlfriend and you interacted with these creations of your mind. When you put an intent "I want to visit my gf" u might go to her but u might also just create a dream character and environment of her and her room. Next time try to say out-loud "I want to visit my gf in the phisical reality in the present moment" and hold that intent strongly for a few seconds. You might also just choose a random card and leave it on a upper shelf to see if you can see it during an OBE and check it out later while awake.

Thats also a good explanation. Propably most common.
It too have had some similar experiences, having visited my GF in the astral several times, with different results. Since she doesn't practice AP and doesn't generally remember many dreams either, it's tough to get any validation in such a case.
Of course, you are visiting her in a non-physical manner, so you're also likely not connecting with a physically conscious part of her, unless she's also a trained psychic. I also remember Monroe's words on the matter, and have had some personal experiences that validate his ideas. While not focused on physical reality, what we see and experience is taken from a vast multitude of realities and cannot always be taken at face value. When you're dealing with multiple levels of subconscious, parallel realities and other such phenomena, there really is no such thing as 'objective'.
That said, validation is possible. I've gone OOB and visited my mother, who is more aware, and had her tell me the next day that she sensed I was in the room with her. At the same time, familiar figures in the astral/dreams are NOT always who they initially appear to be. I've had interactions with beings who at first appeared to be traveling alongside me and initially appeared as either parents or friends of mine. When I became fully aware and faced them, however, their appearance changed and they confessed to NOT being those people. Many instances of 'others' while OOB may also be mental constructs or extensions of our selves.
I have had both experiences that were validated immediately in minute detail as well as experiences that were not validated at all but seemed completely wrong at the time but then some weeks months and even years went buy and because i wrote it down in a database was able to correlate and validate later. Its extremely important to realize that time is very fluid while out of body. Once I came out and the walls of my apt all were bare sheetrock and no furniture. Another time I stood on a hill overlooking my city and saw what it looked like in the past and consciously willed my mind to move forward in time and watched the whole city grow as if in fast forward. If you want to be able to have immediate validations you need to include a timeframe control component to your projection... and yes you can talk to an awake persons subconscious second body while in the astral without them being aware and extract info from them you would never know otherwise. Ive freaked out more than a few friends and rekatives with my ability to do this, so much that they are sometimes selconscious about the fact that i might know some of their most guarded secrets... some of which i do in fact know but would never tell them.

That would be cool (I am collecting these accounts also on a separate page, this kind of grew into a private little side hobby for me now :wink: ).
